Galleries are free and readily available to active members of the community.

Please wait at least 4 weeks before asking for an album, please post an introduction for yourself, and try to participate in the forums. Albums are a lot more interesting if the members have a sense of who you are.

We also ask that you have a minimum of 100 posts.

If you have done those things, and you're ready for an album or albums, please send a PM to SourdoughStomper, or Kiwi and we'll try to get you setup as soon as we can.

You may also request an album in the Sigs & Gallery Forum.
Specify which type of Album(s) you'd like, Collection, Art, Customs, Adoptables or Sale.. Also, please add some pics to your album as soon as possible as we try to avoid having empty albums for very long.

Please keep in mind that these galleries and upload privileges are just that, a privilege, and they can be revoked or removed at any time by discretion of the site owners. These are provided to our active members as a gift and tool with the understanding that they will be maintained by active members of the Arena.

Albums which appear to have no activity for 4 months are subject to removal.

Albums that have been empty for 2 weeks are subject to removal.

A tutorial for working in your new album can be found below. This was created by Navymom02navy.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

A Guide to working in your Gallery (Created by navymom02navy.)
Please turn off your pop-up blocker before beginning work in your gallery.

Options avaliable to your Gallery:
Add Photos : Allows you to add photos
Custom Fields: Allows you to create and change custom fields
Edit Captions: Allows you to add or change captions
New Nested Album/Sub-Albums: Creates a new album in your existing album
Properties: Provides many options for customizing your album
Rebuild Thumbnails:
Resize All: Resizes all photos to one size of your choice
Sort Items

Above is a photo of your empty album and your menu options (these may vary). Now that you are familiar with your screen it is time to choose wether you want to add photos, or create a new nested album. You can always create a new nested album later. Below are links to examples of each.

Photos in Gallery ~*~ Nested Albums

If you want to make a nested album, select that option from your drop down menu. Your new page should look very similar to your starting page.

Now we are ready to add photos! Select the add photos option from your drop down menu. Now you should see the below box. There are four options at the top to choose from, Applet, Form, URL, and Other. The two methods I use are Form and URL.

Form
Select Form at the top of the box. Now, select the number of photos you want to upload. Click browse and locate the file on your computer. You may choose to add caption at this point, or wait until later. Check your options at the bottom and see if you want to make any changes. Click Upload Now.

URL
Select URL at the top of the box. Go to the image you want to add and right click it. Choose properties, then highlight and copy the URL. Post the URL in the blank. Click Submit.

Now you should have pictures in your gallery. At this point there are several different ways to proceed, so I will take you through finishing your gallery the same way I would do mine.

Re-Ordering
If you want to change the order of your photos, or nested albums, go to the menu under the photo you want to move. Select re-order album/photo, and wait for a box to pop up. Choose the new order you want this photo/album to appear in. Click re-order.

Album Title/Description
To give your album a name and description, click Properties from your top drop menu. You should now have a box in front of you with several fields. If you fill in Album summary it will post above your pictures. Naming your album, is the name that people will see below the Album in your gallery. You can change the number of photos that appear per page as well as many other options you may wish to explore. Once you have completed your options click Apply.

Moving Photos
If you want to move your photos from their current location to another album, in this case I will use a new nested album as our desired location. The first thing we will need to do is create a \"new nested album\". Select new nested album from your main drop menu. Go to the photo you want to move, from the drop menu under it, select move photo. Now a box will come up with options for moving a single photo or a group of photos. Now select the album you wish to move those photos too, and click Move Album.

Moving an Entire Album
To move an entire album, you will need to go to the Album you want to move and enter it. Right click the first photo in the album, select properties. Highlight and copy the URL.

Now, go to the album you want to move this album to and select add photos from the drop menu. Select the URL option. Paste the URL in the blank, and erase the image part of the photo. (Highlighted in pink above ^, also visible at the very top of the properties box.) Click Submit. Now you should see something similar to this:

You want to uncheck all boxes marked .sized ; .thumb ; .highlight, as well as the last four boxes. Now click Submit.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If there is an area I haven't addressed that you feel would be helpful, please let me know.
