Okay ive been looking at all kinds of birds & dragon wings. Learning the feather lengths & researching what type of materials to use. But everytime I go to craft stores they never have craft mesh to learn with or for beginners when it comes to wings & what not for your custom dolls & what not. What my question is, Is their a customizer out there that can give this ol' girl a few tips on how to begin using & making custom wings for you ponies even what materials are best for beginner wings. Ive never been one to go out and buy pre-made wing. So if theirs any out there that hear my cry for a few new tips. ^_^ plz help <3 xoxox

Michael's Arts and crafts carries wire form (mesh) in the same section with the clays and plasters. You may want to check there in other stores too. You can also try using aluminum foil as well. I tried that out on a fakie before I actually went and bought mesh, and it worked out fine.

I use Tin Foil for mine and think plastic like acetate for my fairy wings and dragon wings

I use some some mesh that I got at a garage sale - but it looks like something that someone got at the local hardware store so maybe you could look there?
