The only place where I talk about ponies is here.
My friends had better things to do - mostly study.
Only my boyfriend is the victim of my pony ranting Blush
Plus, I know that it is considered "childish" by most of people and I don't want them to feel uneasy. When they visit me, the ponies are displayed proudly on the shelves. Some go "whoa! now that's a big collection" or "Wow! I didin't knew you had ponies" but some say "OMG, aren't you too old for that?". But they almost always leave it when I ask them : "so, your plushies collection / your dolls collection / your comics collection isn't childish, but mine ponies are?" It does wonders Smile

Don't worry about it, really Hug Maybe your friend was having a bad day? Or you really talked about stuff she just didin't understand. When I showed my boyfriend my first Nirvana he thought I'm going nuts Poke Tounge

My husband is supportive and learns the names and things like that. He never seems to get bored of me going on about them, so I'm very lucky in that aspect. I have one offline friend who loves ponies (she has some G1's and G3's) so we talk about them whenever we meet up, which is cool. Other than that, I tend to keep my pony collecting quiet, because if someone was to take the mick out of me, I'd take it quite personally. Which I know I shouldn't, but the ponies mean a lot.

I only talk about ponies to a select one or two people in my life. I know who starts to Zone out when I talk about them, so I save them the trouble of rolling thier eyes at me.
