I know many favorite 80s toys have been given a make over and re introduced but I had no idea she was being brought back until seeing her at Target tonight. What nostalgia! I prefer the original but how neat seeing an updated version of a much beloved doll. There were large and minis. How awesome.

PJ was a doll that when you hugged her or pressed the jeweled heart on her necklace, she lit up and 'sparkled' hence her namesake. There were other dolls in the line as well as a few animal friends like her horse, Blaze. I have two versions of the original, both thrift shop rescues. I was really tempted to get her based on nostalgia alone. I remember really wanting her as a child. YouTube probably has a few commercials from the 80s.
