Every bloody day of my life.

Just work through it. I find that I have no patience for drawing anything for any length of time unless I have my headphones on and can listen to music while I'm doing it. It's a distraction technique since I have either ADD, or short term concentration issues. But if you're doing more than one thing at a time, your brain is happily too busy to be distracted from one or the other and you can work better. Or something. My theory is flawed but it works for me.

So put on some music and pick up that pencil!

And draw some pirates. Cause I love pirates and want everyone else to love them as well. XD

heh, try and remember when you last saw a piece of artwork from me. Can you remember? Exactly! That's how long I've been in a SERIOUS art slump for. The fact that I've been mega busy recently doen't help.

What you need to do is draw for for fun. Don't feel pressured into drawing because you "have to", do it for the sheer joy of creating. Set aside a some free time where you're not in a hurry, be relaxed (maybe after having a bath or whenever you feel most calm) and just draw what you want to.

How about visualising exactly what you want to draw in your head first before you put pencil to paper. That way you have a set plan already to follow.

I don't knw if these suggestions work for everyone, they do sometimes for me. The important thing is to enjoy your art.

When I go for inspiration for pony art, I stare and enjoy the art of other pony artists (like LunaCat, who's art makes me feel all fuzzy inside. :)) There are plenty of artists out there where their artwork has brought that inspiration back into life.

Also, other artwork not related to MLP is also inspirational. Some of the best artwork I've seen that isn't MLP related has given me great ideas for artwork ideas MLP related. It's all on how you look at it and also, relaxing and doing other things can bring back that spark. I've had times where I'm just art exhausted and I need to do other things (and I also just can't draw anything decent). Just enjoying other things for a while relaxes your art intellect a lot and soon you'll be up and drawing in no time! Enjoy the rest for a while, see a sunset, spend time with friends or loved ones, read a book, look at other artwork or go through your old artwork and laugh at how awful you were (I do that all the time, lol).

I feel that way with my poetry. sometimes I realize I haven't written anything in weeks or months...my brain needed a rest obviously. when that happens with my art I try drawing something I wouldn't normally. sometimes a new style - something completely off the wall to me at that moment. non pony if I've been doing a lot of ponies, or something like that

try an animal you've never drawn before, try to draw a still life, or browse art here or deviant art or something till you find an art style you like and try to draw something "in that style" so to speak...just to give your brain and hand something different to do

and I agree with skeleton key - put on some music ^_^
