Or Wysteria, Summer, Petal....

I named my youngest daughter after a G2 pony- Eve! |
What a beautiful name Abasca! I love the accessories that come with the pony Eve too! Adorable! |
Thank you, Julie! We call her "Evee", though, so a lot of people think that I named her after a Pokemon! I actually have an Evee plush toy because of it.

LOL! There can only be just one around here. If I had named her "Loa", my husband would be *SO* confused! Example:
Him: "Who just called?"
Me: "Loa!"
Him: "Loa's right here!"

Aww, thank you, Katieflutterby!
I was going to say that I'd hate to be named after Cactus Butt, but then I remembered that's not her real name, LMAO! It's actually Desert Blossom, but "Cactus Butt" totally stuck!

probably to keep people from naming their kids horrible things like "placenta negligee" and "chlamydia." being named "fluttershy" or "applejack" or "tinkatinkatoo" wouldn't be any better. who would WANT to submit their kid to that? i can understand using pony names that are also normal people names, like eve, or parts of pony names like skye & jack & autumn & such... but look at it this way. how would YOU feel about having to go to job interviews and introduce yourself as sparkleworks or forsythia or rainbowberry? |
Why, Chlamydia has a lovely ring to it! Too bad it has such a big stigma attached to it. Just think: Chlamydia Rose, Chlamydia Marie...
Seriously. I couldn't see someone naming their kid Tink-a-Tink-a-Too for real, but some of them could be modified into cute people names.

LMAO!!!
::imagines introducing myself to people with that name::
Me: "Hi, I'm Chlam!"
Other person: "That's a unique name. Is it the shortened form of anything?"
Me: "Yeah, Chlamydia"
Other person:...

That`s right. (Thank you, I just started thinking about how I could express this)
And if you are adamant and don“t want to change your opinion that per example applejack is a good name for your child then you have to evidence that applejack is an official first name. With a little luck you find somewhere in the world another person who has the name applejack.

If I wanted to name my kid after a pony, I'd go with something that sounds at least somewhat normal like "Medley" or "Ember." To me, kinda normalish. Actually, Dancing Butterflies and Skydancer sound like Native American names to me. But I would definitely not name a kid after these following ponies:
Tinka-Tinka-Too
Pinkie Pie
Woosie
Skippity Doo
Sniffles
Snookums
Actually, I do know some pony names that do sound normal: Tiffany, Serena, Dawn, and Misty (just take "Princess" out of their names)

Actually, my mother was watching Price is Right the other day..and there's a woman on there going for prizes. My mom goes "Hey...she sounds like one of your ponies."
I go look at the nametag of the lady, and guess what..it WAS a pony name.
"Sunburst"
I started laughing..and told her that indeed there's a pony named that.
Personally I'd never name my child after a pony.. Maybe a middle name, but definitely not a first!
"This is my daughter Blueberry Baskets, and my son Steamer" XD
