You're prolly right on the body, but I think I may try one of the child sized styles. I'm just gonna have to do a little modifying inside the head to make it work. That big of eyes, huh? I thought maybe 6mm would work but maybe not. For a wig, if it helps, the circumfrance of her head is about 5 inches.

Ok, I think I've gotten the wig figured out now, seems like one of the sites I was browsing goes by the circumfrance of the head. That and just some of the things I've seen said about the size a normal Pullip would need.

Now I just need to know about eyes. Where can I buy eyes? Ebay is no help, and Junkyspot has a limited selection. And I'm still stumped on what size I need for her....

depending on what kind you want there are a lot of different places
My favorite place to get eyes is Artistique, they have a lot of realistic looking designs of acrylic eyes in a lot of different colors. and best part -they're CHEAP Happy

Ooooh, that's a good place for me to start! I already see the color that I really want. I'm assuming I want to get the half round style?

Gaspode, pullips generally wear a size 8/9 wig. Some people like to use 9/10 but I think they're too big, especially if they're long they tend to slip off.

I buy my wigs all over the net. Happy Here are some popular wig shops:

Can-Can
Facets by Marcia (Monique Gold Wigs)
Jpop
Iplehouse
Leekeworld

There are also a TON of ebay sellers you can search for.

I hope that helps!

I have more questions! Pullips can wear Barbie clothes (right?) but can they wear Barbie shoes? How big are their little feet?? And do you glue the wigs back on or will they stay on well enough without glueing so you can change them sometimes? Or do you get some sort of double stick tape stuff or something else? And are their necks and wrists the same size as Barbie's? I want to make mine a little necklace or bracelet or something while I wait for her to get here but I don't know how big to make it.

Yes, for the most part Pullips wear Barbie clothes. Some will be too small, others will be too big, most will fit pretty well.
Pullips on Type 3 bodies can fit most barbie shoes. Though some are too big and some are too small. I'm not sure about the Type 4 bodies. Obitsu bodies are a bit tricky. They have fatter feet, so a lot of Barbie shoes won't fit, but I've found several Barbie shoes that do fit.

It depends. Smile If you take their stock wig off for some reason, it can be glued back on. Most stock wigs won't stay on easily without some kind of anchor. A lot of people use velcro to keep wigs secure.

If you buy a brand name wig (non-stock wig, like from one of the sites listed above) look for wigs with elastic caps. This will help keep the wig secure without using velcro or glue.

I think Type 3 wrists are pretty comparable to Barbie wrists. Maybe just a teensy bit smaller, though I think using a Barbie wrist as a template will work just fine. Necks I am not sure of, but thinking about it, I think they're both comparable in size as well. Smile

Hello

Should my Hello Kitty pullip's eyes stay closed when I press the lever?

Will a dress made for Blythe fit my Pullip?

Thanks!
Gaspode

Gaspode,
I don't believe Hello Kitty was made with the stock capability of keeping her eyes closed, but just merely blink when you press the levers. You can easily modify the levers if you want her eyes to stay closed. Smile
Here's a tutorial: www.requiemart.com/pul...epeye.html

If your Pullip is on a T3, it will most likely fit, but it really depends on the maker of the dress. I have a stock Blythe dress that is even a little big on my small bust obitsu'd pullip. I've also ordered handmade things made specifically for Blythes that are either a tight squeeze or didn't fit at all. It may also depend on the material. Smile

In general though, most Blythe dresses will fit Pullips, they'll just be a bit shorter in length, the waist line a bit higher, etc.

Great thanks for both answers. I'm not too worried about her eyes staying closed if they aren't supposed to Smile

*runs off to order dress for Sara that she's seen*

Ok some more questions hope that is ok!

Obitsus - where from, how do I know what colour to get and how easy are they to change cos' I'm already not too happy with this stock body of Sara's posing wise

Say I get an obitsu - what is melt? how can I avoid it? what's the difference between soft and hard?

Thanks!
Gaspode

Obitsu's, the best place to get them from is probably going to be Junkyspot.com

you're going to want 27cm for pullips, and white skin
most people get the soft bust, which is a soft plastic bust and torso, so SBH- S,M, or L (small, medium or large bust)
but there's also hard bust, which is 100% hard plastic.

melt is exactly what it sounds like.
When pullip plastic comes in contact with obitsu plastic, over time, a chemical reaction will cause the plastic on the pullip to melt.
Sometimes worse than others.
it's mostly seen on the neck hole, around where the neck of hte obitsu fits in.
In my 2 years of having pullips I've only had a tiny case of melt where there was just this sticky residue in a little ring around my souseiseki's neck.

if melt is bad enough, chunks of the plastic can fall off.

type 2 pullip bodies also have a problem with melt, their soft plastic touching the hard plastic for long periods of time.

This means, if you let a soft plastic hand (ie, obitsu hand) touch a pullip face for an extended period of time, you will cause melt to the face. I'm guess you'd have to leave the hand touching the face for weeks to months though

having it touching for a photoshoot or whatever will not hurt it.

to avoid neck melt, you can invest in teflon tape and just wrap it around the neck joint of the obitsu so no plastic from the neck can touch the pullip. There will most likely be a little bit of tape sticking out the bottom of neck hole, so most suggest avoiding tape colors like red or black - most stick with white.
But it's usually only a sliver that sticks out, you don't have to wrap the whole neck.
