PostPosted: 0    Post subject: Warning non paying bidder/buyer RIDICULOUS UPDATE

I listed two of my recent customs on ebay. I was happy to have them snagged at a BIN, and send a combined shipping invoice. I then got this reply in my messages. After talking to some pony friends the general thought it it is just buyer's remorse.
Her ID is plushies2011
hello i would like to cancel these as my little 8 year old sister sophie was trying to save the picture for later and though that this was my photobucket account she loves mlp and thought they where so pretty and clicked buy instead of watchlist i am so sorry about this i really am i told her if she finds any pictures she likes ill have them printed out onto a tshirt for her but sadly sophie didnt realize that i had my ebay page up i am sorry for any incopnvience we have caused you, sophie has leukmia and is often on the computert asd she is too sick to go outside most of the time, she thought your ponies where so pretty ...beside i wont be able to pay till 25th as im away till then so sorry about this terrible mixup so can you please cancel both ponies please and thank youmany thanks

At this point, I have more respect for buyers who just tell the truth and say they made a mistake. Rather than make up a story about their kid bidding on Ebay :-/

I don't buy it for one minute.

The more elaborate the excuse, the better the chance that it is a lie. I require immediate payment on BINs...maybe that would help in the future. Thanks for the heads up.

Wow, they really covered all the bases there, didn't they? It's like the typical excuse checklist!

-Sick/dying relative - yes
-Younger sibling/family member/dog/pet rock did it - yes
-Away from home so can't pay yet - yes
-Hit the wrong button - yes
-Wrong website/program - yes
-Cancer - yes

I like how she says the sister thought it was photobucket, then that the sister accidentally hit buy, instead of watchlist - those two stories don't mesh. I mean, even an eight year old knows the difference between the words "watch" and "buy".

It smells more than a little fishy; it smells like the whole fish market.

edited for spelling error - you can be away from a hoe, but I don't think gardening implements are necessary in ebay purchases...though I'd like to see that excuse some time.

I'm really sorry, but I get a bit sick of excuses such as 'I didn't / cant pay because .... the dog died, my child has (insert life threatening disease or illness here), my mum / dad has cancer, I broke my toe, my partner / child / I am in hospital' and the list goes on.

We actually have a running joke in our home to see what the excuse is for not paying with the next non paying bidder. I just wish they would at least have the diecency to be hounest about it. Simply 'I made a mistake' I would happily let someone back out of the transaction.

Sorry this happened to you, and don't let them guilt trip you, and lastly, even though its hard because you know its probably all BS, pe polite Wink

If her little sister is on the computer that much then she definitely knew what she was doing. If you are away then why is your eBay account logged on in the first place?

Get your fees back by at least doing a mutual cancellation or else open an unpaid bidder dispute so that the strikes show on their account.

definetely fishy considering that BIN options require you to confirm the purchase- which even an 8yr old can understand:/

The other problem. She's saving your pictures of your customs to print on a t-shirt. Art theft much?

Ok, this is ridiculous. I sent a message asking that she pay for the items or I will file a NPB, and also gently pointed out the holes in her story as well as the art theft. I wasn't mean at all, and even explained that my Mom has mylenoma, which is a form of blood and bone cancer similar to luekemia..
This is the reply I got. I am disgusted..

Add one more to the checklist.

The nerve of some people. I feel like it's fairly likely this is a kid who bid on something without permission. Old enough to know what they were doing, and then old enough to realize crap, I can't actually buy this if mom and dad won't pay for it. I speak from experience because that sounds like something I did a few times when I was younger. It's certainly written like a child.

If it were me I'd be tempted to write back to them but it's probably best you don't, haha. I'd just want to say something like "Your stories do not add up and I do not appreciate being lied to. If you were honest with me about the reason for canceling we could have done a mutual cancelation. As it is, I will be filing a non paying bidder claim against you."

Ebay people aren't idiots. They see messages like the ones this person has been sending all the time. Just wait until tongiht and file a NPB.

wow...that's just...wow...the nerve! O__o
What a strange person! I can't believe the effort she have to go through to even write all those lies ( I'm convinced they're lies too.) When It would have been so much easier just too say sorry and ask to cancel the transaction. geeesh....

I'm sorry you had to encounter such a silly ebayer :'(
