Hey, everybody! I'm popping in as a favor to Lady Minty. Someone has posted an auction on eBay for a Dr. Whooves custom using the photos and description of the Dr. Whooves she auctioned a couple months ago.

The auction has been reported to eBay, but in the mean time, this is a warning that the item is either a scam or misrepresentation.

Well, is it possible that the person who is selling it is the current owner of the pony? I'm just wondering... not that it makes it OK to steal the photos or anything-- that's still not right.

This isn't the person who bought it from her. It's possible the person who won the auction sold the item to them. If that's the case, this person needs to take new photos to avoid any confusion.

I checked that - the buyer's id did not match the seller's id. So unless they have two different accounts, I doubt it. The thing is the picture is the same... O.o You would think they would at least take their own pictures of the item if they have it in their possession. It's so hard to know sometimes. Depressed

This is probably not the case, but what if they made a second or third plush... would it be wrong to use the same photos and description? If they keep making them the same, it seems like it would be efficient to keep the posting the same. No? I might be missing something.

Phew! I'm glad this was resolved!

There's another ebay seller with a Dr Whooves plush, with other items I'm interested in... When I saw the description I was worried it might've been them.. Glad it's not!
