I'm actually really good at those. Try angling yourself so you're working he joystick (that's what she said) while looking through the left side of the game. You'll get funny looks, but it gives you a better vantage point to see which bit you have to hit to win it.

i went back to walmart today, this time going in the other side because there were no parking places, and in the machine over there, they had 2 GREEN PENGUINS!!!! 2 OF THEM!!!!! I HAVE TO GO BACK AND GET ONE!!!!

i took everyone's advice, i looked for ways to snag a plush, i watched and learned how the crane was going to spin also.

mom gave me 120 soda bottles and cans to take in to get $6 to go play (she just wanted me to shut up and stop digging around in old boxes and purses for coins)
so i got it in 6 ones. i went to the machine and saw a lady and her 3 kids just pumping quarters into it and i got nervous when she won a stuffed bear (it was cute though) but then i saw that her winning that bear, opened up a bigger gap for one of the penguins. there was only a couple stuffed animals in the way. i got excited and stuck a dollar in which gave me 2 games. the first grab, the claw went down and landed sideways looking pathetic. but i was shocked to see it grabbed 2 stuffed animals at the same time!!! not the penguin, but a monkey and a bear. i won 2 on my first try! awesome! a good sign the claw was stronger than i thought it was. after a few more tries, dragging, dropping, this is what i left with.

funny enough, at the movie theater tonight my brother's girlfriend was hovering the crane machine and apparently my brother told her that I was awesome at them... and I was... back in high school.
So she wanted me to win something christmasy... tried and failed with the 50c she had :/ felt bad, but she was fine with it. Turned out to be change my brother gave her anyway XD

This one had too many stuffed animals in it. Did the whole flop over thing and the claw actually didn't close before it was already half way up o_0

well congrats on the win i have gotten two at one time as well. they were little tiger plush although at a well known amusement park. They are a white one and an orange one and they sit on my pachinko machine !
The best time i ever had was at the same park and the machine was filled with care bear plush. That year i filled my bag with them, the workers there joked they were gonna kick me out of the arcade area.

i went to another walmart last night and as we were in the car and pulling away, i saw one in their machine and was like "D: waaaaaaiiiiit" but mom wanted to hurry and get home because it was already 8 PM lol.

monkeys are one of my number 1 fears, so at first i thought it was a bad sign that i would be stuck with a monkey and no penguin. heehee glad i was wrong!!!
i was going to share my spoils with some other kids, but there were none around!!! the woman and her kids had already left and there were like no children left in walmart! probably because its christmas eve. so i took the extra 2 home and gave the monkey to my brother (he's sick so it made him happy) and the bear to my dog. (he doesn't tear toys up, he just snuggles and nibbles)
i'm still excited i haven't won in AGES so this was a treat for me!
they get to sit next to my other penguin and my christmas hello kitty that a friend bought for me

wow!!!! i bet that was awesome! i only played one machine that had care bears and won a luck bear on my first try. i've only seen 1 care bear in a crane game since then. it was at toys r us, and they got rid of their machine a few weeks after. (i failed at getting him out)
