yeah, i really didnt know where this went...so if i was wrong...dont shoot me Poke Tounge

I won an auction on ebay today. I will be sending the money soon, Since the seller doesnt accept paypal, and i dont want to pay extra fees (of his from his bank), i opted to not pay by money order (it was a $4 fee on top of a MO fee). The seller asked for me to send the money by registered mail. Look Round I've never done that before...how do i do it? Its going to Lima, Peru...if that helps (i may put delivery confirmation on it as well...and i have no clue how to do that either).

I also know i should hide the money inside something Smile I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions?

How much was it for? If you are paying a pretty penny, id pay with a moneyorder regardless of the fees. Money can get lost fast when mailed off, unfortunetely. If you are certain you want to send cash, wrap the money in a few sheets of paper so when you hold it up to the light you can no longer see through. You can also decorate the envolope like a penpal to avoid suspision.

As for delivery confirmation, im not exactly sure if you can do that with just a letter envolope, or internationally (I know I cant do it out of my own country)

Hope that helps, and good luck:)

Chibi you can go to the post office and they will provide you w/ an envelope to send the money out registered mail. USPS does not recommend sending concealed cash of course, and to send registered mail costs around 8 dollars or so perhaps. I'm not positive on that, I was looking into sending money registered to germany about a year ago and was quoted that.

You could take a fakie and stuff the money inside its body. That's how I've paid a few ppl before. Just a thought Poke Tounge

Well check w/ the post office first honey and see what the price is! Maybe it would be cheaper based on destination, hard to say.

And yea, couldn't they at least take bidpay or something? Huh So much easier! Look Round

I just took a look at the guy's auction terms, and since all BidPay is is a Western Union money order (which the purchaser pays for), I suspect he means that he has to charge a fee for any money order, most likely because his bank charges him 5% to cash them.

Thats against ebays policies though :S I just looked it up yesterday.

The only way he can charge a fee in this case is if he put the auction in say...Canadian Dollars, and i was paying in USD. Only with a difference of currency can have the buyer pay the fees.

Since the auction was listed in US funds, and i am paying in US funds, he cannot charge me (sheesh, all of this over $1 fee o_O, but that dollar is already on top of a $.70 fee i already have to pay.)
