#31: Re: Taken down a peg or two... Author: TinyShinyUnique, Location: PolandPosted: 0 ---- The only place where I talk about ponies is here.
My friends had better things to do - mostly study.
Only my boyfriend is the victim of my pony ranting
Plus, I know that it is considered "childish" by most of people and I don't want them to feel uneasy. When they visit me, the ponies are displayed proudly on the shelves. Some go "whoa! now that's a big collection" or "Wow! I didin't knew you had ponies" but some say "OMG, aren't you too old for that?". But they almost always leave it when I ask them : "so, your plushies collection / your dolls collection / your comics collection isn't childish, but mine ponies are?" It does wonders
Don't worry about it, really Maybe your friend was having a bad day? Or you really talked about stuff she just didin't understand. When I showed my boyfriend my first Nirvana he thought I'm going nuts

I would just keep talking about ponies to my friend and one day he said,
"Wow...you sure love ponies alot...you keep talking about them!"
lol...well who can resist it!

#34: Re: Taken down a peg or two... Author: vivica_cherry, Location: Hull, UKPosted: 0 ---- My husband is supportive and learns the names and things like that. He never seems to get bored of me going on about them, so I'm very lucky in that aspect. I have one offline friend who loves ponies (she has some G1's and G3's) so we talk about them whenever we meet up, which is cool. Other than that, I tend to keep my pony collecting quiet, because if someone was to take the mick out of me, I'd take it quite personally. Which I know I shouldn't, but the ponies mean a lot.
#35: Re: Taken down a peg or two... Author: therestornadosinmysoup, Posted: 0 ---- I only talk about ponies to a select one or two people in my life. I know who starts to Zone out when I talk about them, so I save them the trouble of rolling thier eyes at me.
