My Little Pony Arena presents the - The Valentine Email Card Art Swap!
Whether you have someone to love or just love ponies how about showing some pony love for one of your fellow pony lovers? Since time is short just we shall just be doing an email swap this time.
Theme: Create a Valentine themed scene featuring the pony chosen by your swap partner. The scene may be either indoors, or outdoors. All work must be done by you and it should include a cute message as part of it.
What is an Email Art Swap? it is when swappers send there art via email instead of snail mail. Art can be digitally created or done with traditional media's and then scanned in. Art should be of a high quality and of sufficient resolution* so that if the receiver wishes a print can be created. (If you wish you may also supply Arena sized sig and avis as a bonus)
References: Since this is Email Only Swap you will need two (2) trade or commission references to apply. You need to be a member in good standing of the Arena with a minimum of 200 posts and have been with the Arena a minimum of 2 months.

Any special request can also be listed (i.e. and extra pony/persona) but it will be at your swappers discretion if they wish to do them.

Deadline for emailing digital art: February 12th
And remember NO posting Art to the Art Forum until you have heard from your swap partner that they have received your art.

For the Email Swap where we state Art should be of a high quality and of sufficient resolution* so that if the receiver wishes a print can be created. For those doing digital art we mean an image with a DPI for 200 or more would be best. If you are scanning in traditional media then you would scan at a DPI of between 200 and 300 which would easily net a high quality print of 8" x 10".
Your Little Hermione suggests email swappers give their screen resolution, that way your swappie can get a free wallpaper for their computer. She says It's normally a good size for printing out if you want to, but it is also able to be used without being distorted right away by the person if they don't have a decent printer. Granted not everyone can use it as a wallpaper (if they share a computer for instance) but it can be used for that or printing. ^^
If you don't know how to check your resolution...
To check your screen resolution:
-Right click on your desktop in an open space.(aka not on an icon or folder)
-Select "Properties" from the little menu.
-A window will appear that's called "Display Properties" select the "Settings" tab.
-There's a box with "Screen Resolution" and a slide bar. It should be max right now. Underneath the slide bar it says something like #### by ### pixels.
-That is your screen resolution. Write that down and add that to your form!
Just a note: If you are entering the email swap and you do not receive your partner's screen resolution(either because they do not want a wallpaper, or they forgot to add it) if you make your image at LEAST 800x800 pixels at 200DPI it will be a good size image for inking and coloring on. ^^ If you would like to go larger, that's perfectly fine as well! But at least that size would be easy to print out at a decent quality.
