Some time ago I joined the Monster High custom swap here on the Arena. It was my first time making a custom for a swap, but my daughter loves MH, so I was excited to make a MH custom so that we in turn would receive a MH custom. Since it was my first swap, I tried my best to make a custom that was as good as I could make, and in the end I was really happy with it, and hoped that my partner would be happy.

Unfortunately, I never knew, as my partner never let me know if the custom (along with several cute MH extras I added to the package) arrived....and since she never even acknowledged it's arrival, I didn't even get a simple Thank you! To make matters worse, I've been told that she never even sent the custom she was to make to her partner in the swap. And so with all this, I wished I'd just kept the custom I'd worked so hard on and given it to my daughter.

Now TODAY, GIZMO85 has listed my custom on ebay for sale!!!!! Yes, can you believe it! She has scammed people out of free customs by joining swaps and not completing her end of the deal, nor even THANKING people for the custom they made, the goodies they sent, or the MONEY they spent to ship the custom to her in the UK!!!! I am disgusted! She is one sad woman in my opinion.

If you would like to see my custom it is on ebay now....just use the search terms MLP custom monster high doll a must see ! And there you will see that Gizmo did indeed receive Draculaura, and not only is she now selling her, she has not credited me as the artist in her listing, and certainly has not asked my permission to sell her, which would have been a courtesy. BTW she has several other customs listed, I wonder if this same thing has happened to other customizers and she is now selling their work as well????

WOW - I'm just stunned at how low people can go. I would have paid to have my custom sent back to me if I'd been given the chance to get her back, I would have loved to give her back to my daughter. I'm just disgusted by this person.

OK rant over, I suggest everyone be wary of this seller.

WHAT?!

And all this time I felt sympathy for her for the time she (or her baby) were Supposedly sick! Not only was she perfectly FINE, she was trying to avoid everyone from the arena because she was "embarrased", then she goes and does this?!

Gizmo, what the hell is wrong with u?! >:(

Have you contacted a mod? Please do so.

I am so sorry for this predicament. That was rude and inappropriate of her. Sad

Thank you for letting us know. I will be adding that user to my block list. I wonder if there is any way we can get her auctions pulled since basically she is selling stolen goods. If nothing else she should be added to our scammers list here. Hug The custom was lovely I am so sorry it turned out badly for you. I'd be happy to do a private swap with you sometime if you decide you want to try again.

I would seriously think about reporting the item as stolen to ebay.
I think she should take the auction down, apologize to you for not being a good swap partner and return the item.
Seriously Report her to ebay.

Oh, that is just terrible! I am so sorry to hear that she treated you and others in this manner!! Thank you so much for letting us know what was going on and posting here in TS so that everyone may be aware of her auctions. Hug

That is a awful thing to do to a person :/ I was in a trade with her long time ago. I can remember but she claimed she sent her side during the holiday season last year. I never got the pony she wanted to refund me but I just backed out. I learnt my lesson. I also had the same thing happen to me in a custom swap before. The whole thing can be tough at times. I agree with reporting her too. Thank you for the heads up.

I am in complete shock at her behavior. Sad Not only is she selling other people's customs without giving credit but she is selling the custom she made for the MH swap - the one she claimed to have shipped to her partner.

These are the customs she is selling in addition to the one made by 4Lindy.

And it appears that this one was done by Lina.

All of these customs were swap ponies and I know she didn't follow through with her end on at least two of these swaps. Sad

OMG - did she really think that no one from the Arena would see these customs and put this all together!!!! I got a call first thing this morning from a friend that found the listing and knew it was my custom. They knew what had happened with that girl, and wanted me to know right away! This is just obscene! And now we know for sure it's not just me that has been burned, but selling the custom she supposedly SHIPPED to her partner!!!!! That is just beyond comprehension!

Can a more visible post about this be made by one of the mods, say stickied in the Pony Corral or something? I think the whole community oughtta know about this, and hopefully none of them will sell!!!

I don't have any good advice, but this really burns my knickers! Enraged I agree, reporting her to eBay is a good idea. Make sure to include any public links that would prove she cheated people out of their stuff and is now reselling it, if you can include those kinds of things in eBay reports.

If I had the cash--and even though it would also mean giving a thief money--I would be soooooo tempted to bid on that pony so I could send it to you for your daughter! And then I could leave negative feedback for the user to warn others, stating she was selling stolen goods.

On the bright side--you already made one great custom pony. Maybe you could do another for your daughter! Energetic

(Y'all, please excuse me if the formatting is off. I've been away from the MLP community for a long time and can't remember how to make with the posts anymore.)

This makes me so sick. I was watching it all unfurl today while I was at work talking to Kat.

How anyone can do this... it just makes me so mad. She's been participating in swaps, getting ponies made for her without sending anything in return. Then she's selling the ponies she's gotten. And also selling the pony she was SUPPOSED to send to a swap partner, but lied about and never sent.

I hope you come here and read this, Gizmo, and see all the people you've made upset. This is completely despicable behavior.

If I see the custom I sent to her for our personal swap on Ebay, I will flip. Though the one I sent her for that wasn't nearly as good as the other ones she apparently scammed out of people, so maybe she won't be able to get a good price for it. Still, this makes me SO ANGRY!

I'm furious myself. She LIED to me and told me she sent that custom to her partner. All this time I gave her the benefit of the doubt that she sent it and the mail lost it. Then come to find out it never got shipped????? I don't think I could be more angry. I do NOT appreciate being lied to. And it's bad enough she didn't even tell 4Lindy she received the custom but now she has that one and others listed for sale and isn't crediting any of the artists. That's just..... I don't have words.
