Well, I could not stand it anymore! This weekend I got 5 new g3 ponies 7 with the babies and I HAD to open them. I have not opened the very first ones I got yet but I just had to open them and admire them. I'm glad I did too because I think that over time it's probably not good for them to stay in the packaging. Some of them had indents on their feet where they were in the plastic and it will probably go away but if they were left in there for years it would probably be bad for them. And the tape on the hair too. Besides in the packages they take up so much space.

Now I have enough points to get another Dazzle too so I'm going to send for one! I will get duplicates of my favs and keep those in the packaging.

My Rainbow dash has a mark on her foot that looks almost like the plastice got pricked with a pin. :-( It's not too bad but annoying since it's by the heart. I will probably get another one.

I was wondering that myself lately.. I have a set of target winters that I'm considering keeping MIB.. the only problem is, I'm afraid the packaging's going to damage them permanently.

*frown* Well, if they're kept MIP, my philosophy is pretty much that whatever happens to them due to packaging doesn't matter: they're in the package and will stay that way, so what's the fuss if you're not going to take them out to examine them? Of course, I don't keep anything in the package, so I guess I'm not qualified to speak on it. *shrug* *runs off to play with ponies out of the package*

Same here, only that its on my Applejack's leg. *frowns* I wonder what could have caused it.

Some of my ponies have marks and things on them, but it doesn't bother me much. I guess I'm not as hard core collector as some of you guys on this board.

Well, I don't how much I stand for a hard core collector. But I for one am fussy with conditions of my ponies but not so much for the Gen3 ponies (yet) since I'm happy getting them still packaged so I can open them. Mostly ponies I pick up on secondhand in disappointing conditions get on my nerves. Who wouldn't feel that way knowing she missed out a lot on ponies during her childhood and is stuck collecting leftover ponies (in conditions that embarrass her even though she didn't do it to them! :-() years later? I would be going insane if Gen3 MLPs didn't come out like they did! I wanted decent MLPs in my collection for a change and now's my chance! Poke Tounge
