This is Cherry <3 (She's waiting for the right bow btw, that one is just temporary ) She popped out a completely different custom that I was making. Apparently she'd come to the Sanctuary so that "Cherries" by Sevenbelles (got her at the Fair <3) would have some Cherry company! Who am I to argue? LOL You just can't have Too many Cherry ponies when your name is Cherry!!!
I saw Starhopper had done a custom with this type hair; I didn't find it too hard to work with, it was just kinda messy..

She was my first pony with freckles!! LOL I just love them! <3

I have an obsession with putting teeny little cherries in my Cherry customs eyes!

I dyed and conditioned her hair to make it softer.. I Love her hair!

Question: I know that many of you other customizers are as addicted to making customs as I am; WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THEM ALL!!!! I live in a teeny tiny hole in the wall (okay, not really, but it's feels like it compared to what I'm used to!) and my little house is bursting to the seams in ponies!!! I was thinking I should try to find local boutiques to sell them on consignment??
What do you guys do with your customs? My shelves are starting to sag! LMAO

I give mine to my friends My second custom went to my brother, then a chunk to two of my friends, so only 3 are still with me, though it will soon be 5.

aw - shes cute - those pink curls are killer!
as far as my customs....out of the hundreds I've made....I only still have like...5. Well, my husband has a few too....but his ponies are in a different room.
Most of mine are commissions or gifts or swaps. I have sold one or two on ebay - but most of it is made with an specific purpose or person in mind.

She's adorable!!! Luv the pink curls and the little cherries in her eyes are fantastic!
As far as my customs go I either make them for swaps (so they already have a home) or I sell them. I've sold 3 here on the board and I'll have my first one up on ebay in a bit.

Thanks, everyone!
So, I've made roughtly about 30; I am definately still learning. I have sold, probably a third, a third have been gift ponies and I have about a third of them (between me and my sons anyhow) on my shelves to stay or are for sale. I have about four customs for sale but little offers; how do you guys sell your customs (if you know what I mean, how do you 'get them out there?')
Thanks Jean! LOL Yeah, she does look good enough to eat! I was dyeing her to be a different custom that was Not supposed to be red but rather an autumn sunset color (You'll see custom later, I promise, she was nearly a week in being birthed and gawd if she ain't beeyuteefull. Have a tease, if you'd like s184.photobucket.com/a...Ftease.jpg )
Her teeny freckles were inspired by her friend 'Cherries'. (I will post a pic. of her tomorrow.) We did a trade at the Fair and I walked away with her. I have loved her dearly, but she had seemed kinda lonely; she was the only pony of her age on my shelves (except for my sons 80th Century dino pony tn3-2.deviantart.com/f...y_wylf.jpg , but I don't think he speaks the same language.) Now, she has some proper company.

When I get around to making customs that aren't for swaps, I'll be exhibiting them at a cool gallery in the city. The guy who owns it isn't going to charge me commission because they don't take up a lot of space, and they're not exactly typical art. Check out any galleries in your area and see if one of them would be willing to show your stuff. You never know!
