Hi!

I have these four poor ponies who needs some Help.
Should I restore them, custom, or leave them the way they are cause they are rare or smthg?

First, here is a Baby Brother Apple Delight, who has bad penmarks on his head and a small one on his body.
I really can't stand to have penmarks on my ponies, especially on heads..


Next is Wave Runner: Her symbol and eyes are all intact, but she has almost no more tail. Her mane is uncut but the white part is frizzy.


Then we have Fifi, her mane and tail are cut, her symbol is quite faded, she has tail rust and her face is scratched..
I do need a bait pony in this pose for a custom project, but I don't really how rare is Fifi? Would she be okay to customize?



And finally, here is an Italian Peach Cotton Candy who is alas in a bad state.. She is missing the point of her right ear, her foot are dog-crunched (not too bad though), her mane is silky, her tail is dry but both are cut. Her symbol is quite erased on both side. Plus she has some pinkish marks on her back.. She would be ideal for a custom project I have, even with her missing ear and crunched foot, but I don't know how rare IT CC peach are?




So, what do you think I should do with them?

I think you could get away with customizing Fifi and Wave Runner, but I would try to restore the others.

I'd customize fifi. Not too sure with Baby brother apple delight.
I would restore Wave runner.
Certainly restore on Cotton Candy.
If you decide to sell Cotton Candy, I may be interested.
If you do decide to sell her, I might be interested in Wave Runner aswell, (If I can afford them )

I've never seen any of these before myself so I'd say restore as well, but they are your ponies so you do what you want with them...
You might be able to get a good few new baits for some of them though so maybe that is worth looking into first!

i would restore wave runner! shes lovely, just defrizz her mane and replace her tail using some nylon, just use regular white instead of colour changing white ^_^ and i would try to find a home/restore peachy too.... Fifi would be easy to clean up, and if you really need that pose i have a fakie in that pose ^_^ brother apple delight might be able to be helped with some of that clearisil or whatever or removezit. ive never used it but i hear it works wonders.....

I'd say all should be restored except maybe Fifi. Wave runner is more common, but her body is in such nice shape it'd be a shame to use it for customs.

I agree completely with this. I'd NEVER EVER use a non-US/Nirvana pony as bait. No matter how bad. If you REAlLY must, then use Fifi as bait, but i'd still try and save her and get a fake in the pose instead. Wave Runner was a fav when I was little, if you're looking to sell her, I'd love to buy her from you. BB apple delight need remove-zit. It works great on white ponies. If you don't have any go to www.twinpines.com to order it or you could send him to me and I'll restore him with it. I am also looking to buy him. XD

I would rehair WaveRunner and it sounds like there's already interest in Peach Cotton Candy so I would just sell her as is.

The other 2 look like bait and I say customize them.

I'd customize all but the Italian, just because I don't know enough about the Euro editions to know if she's common or not. There's no real way to restore Waverunner because of not having color-changing hair. Fifi is pretty common, I think (and if someone must have her, I have one that's almost perfect for sale). You could try some of the methods suggested for removing the pen marks on Baby Apple Delight, but it doesn't always work. Sometimes it stains the pony instead. Up to you.

I'd ask in the Nirvana section about the Italian. If she's pretty common, I'd say customize her too because of the severe body damage.

I personally would sell or restore the Italian and the baby brother since they weren't available in the US and thus are much harder to find for the majority of US collectors. Fifi and Waverunner I'd say go ahead and customize, unless you have the urge to restore.

Thank you very much for all your tips and suggestions! It was really helpfull. I decided to restore BB Apple Delight, Wave Runner and Cotton Candy, and use Fifi for my Custom project.

I'll post pics as soon as they are done, though it might take a little while, as I don't as many Pony-Play time as I'd like to have..
I'm sorry for whom who'd be interested in buying/trading them, but as I'm a new collector, I'm not ready yet to part with any pony;-) (I am just addicted I guess..)
Especially as I don't have double of these ones. But I'll keep an eye open when I go Pony Hunting on weekends, who knows..

Cotton Candy isn't very rare as an Italian and is generally only worth $5. She's also badly prone to fading, like your's has to the pale pink. It's up to you whether you'd like to restore her and if she'd be worth it as she's your pony. She wouldn't be worth overspending on for restoration, like rehairing, however a repaint of her symbols, a good clean up and I think she'd look pretty well and could sell.

People have customised Italians like Peachy before (who's painfully common and cheap) and there's nothing really wrong in doing so as long as the pony is in very poor shape and not worth restoring. Just always find out who you have first though, there're some seriously rare Italian hybrids out there worth $200+ even as a bait!

i'd restore Waverunner at least. her body is too pretty to customize! i sold one almost just like that and i think the lady bought her to restore her. can't wait to see how they all turn out!
