I don't think that some of them are too bad but the frog with the tongue sticking out disturbs me to no end. That one just looks evil!!
I showed them to my almost 4 year old and he wanted to know when we will be getting them. His favorite was the peacock with what looks like a circus ringleader's hat on its head (in the package). He also liked the bear. He told me that the bear looked like it needs a hug.

Some are cute, some look "off" and not right.

I like some of them. I really wish they wouldn't change the eyes but some look okay.
I like the polar bear but wish he was done in the "old style", same with the peacock.

Honestly, If i didn't see them in their packaging like that, I would have thought they were customs.. I wish I knew why they were making them like that? It's making me think about getting them and trying to paint over them to make them look "normal"

I gotta be honest with you, I think that these are either customs, bootlegs, or LPS "Nirvanas".
First of all, the logo and packaging is completely different than the US-released LPS. Granted, Hasbro might be changing up their LPS marketing, but all I can say is that I hope not, 'cause I'm not liking.
Also, several of those pets are already out here. The Bakery set with the bunny is already out here, and so is the bunny in the Garden set with the Asian-style hat.
Furthermore, if these were released in Taiwan only, why is all of the print on the packaging in English?
I'm thinking that these either aren't real, or aren't going to see US release and are being produced by one of Hasbro's Taiwan subsidiaries for Asian release only.

WHY dear God WHY are the pig's feet FLAMING?
I hate to admit it, but as much as I despise Hasbro for making these, I'll be buying a couple of them.
And that's what's so horrible. They can do anything they want - entirely ruin a line - and they'll still make money because they own us for life.
Also, is that mouse in a cupcake house? *dies*

I hate to be the one to tell you that you're absolutely wrong. I wish you were right, but you're not. The logo for LPS on Toys 'R' Us' site has officially changed to the logo on these new boxes.
For further proof, Entertainment Earth has a December '07 playset available for pre-order that is described as a bunny with a bakery.

The bear and squirrel thing don't look too bad but that pig is disturbing. That frog looks evil. Poor doggie is blind!

Sweetcakes, I do not think they are customs or boot legs, I have a feelingthey are moving in the direction of the bratazs pets and hopefully when they do not seel they shall go back to the old style. But since these are aimed at kids espcailly it seems tweens I can understand (but not like) where they are heading.

Does this mean we will get ponies like this some day? *faints*

Oh my what happened to them..
I'm definately not liking these (then again I'm not their target audience ). Someone went and gave them... tweenish asterix and paintjobs >_< And their eyes scare me. This is very sad. If I start seeing G3s with flames on their legs, that will be the end for me.
Although I was kinda iffy about them when they they were first released (which is why my collection is so small), I will always love the G1 LPS; how semi-realistic they were.. how they always came in a box and you never knew what they actually looked like till you opened the box, and how you had different series, like show horses and endangered animals.. cutsey bobbleheads are bleh.
EDIT: Ok I'm at least getting the polar bear... and the black sheep... and the shaggy dogs.. and possibly the kockitoo with the fuzzy head.. lol I'm such a sucker

HAHA.
Well, it's nice to finally see the cow loose. The eyes look significantly less acid-trippy than most of them.
