Well, christmas break is upon us now and I wanted to give you all a lookie-loo at what all has been going on in my customizing world. I'll start with some WIP pics, some finished pics, then a humorous treat at the end. :3

PIC OBESE, not for faint-hearted computers.

First, everyone meet Sunflare. Sunflare started out as a baity little Sunspot from Australia (courtesy of SatinSlippers on the TP) who had orange gunk on his forelegs, a frizzy mane, smudged eyes, and his tail washer permanently wedged in his right hind leg. Sunflare has been repainted and not rehaired. His symbols are of the sun (sans that annoying smiley face) with a 'flare' coming down his legs. He has a scorpian like tail that is made out of Makins Air-Dry Clay, dried so hard that I can pick him up like a teacup, lol. His back ridges, one of his horns, and a leg flame are also made of Makins. The other horn and the remaining three leg flames are made out of modeller's clay. He's painted over in FolkArts Enamels and sealed several times with Gloss Modge-Podge. I don't think he's suitable for long travel, but if someone is willing to shell out to see him to their home safely, I'll take a bid. <3

Shiny Butt Pony! Aluminum foil idea spurred by LLL:

Tailage, the flash makes it look good:

Then come the ridges :3 This also shows what I call 'The Chenille Boil Perm' in waiting :

One horn in place:

Lousy flames:

The other horn!:

Not Quite done...:

ALL TOGETHER NOW GIRLS (and Sunflare):

In this pic we have Artsy-Tartsy Pandoo, Sunflare, and Luna Lovegood

Artsy-Tartsy Pandoo started her life as a McD's SparkleWorks. Her customizing days started out as an experiment in painting, but several coats of blue paint on her bum later and she got to be a real custom! She has not been rehaired. Her symbol is a pool of the primary colors, her tail has been repainted to look like a starry night (not polka-dots)- then glossed over with watered down silver enamel to make it shiny. Her legs are a pink color similar to her hair and were my poor attempt to make a gradient. She's meant to look messy and have brush bristles in some of her paint, the idea is that she's been romping through my paint supplies. Silly pony. Artsy /is/ for sale if anyone wants to make an offer. <3

I'm ready for my close-up:

EDIT:: In retrospect, her legs look like they're wearing go-go boots in these pics, lol!

From behind:

She only has two pics because my camera was being spastic, but here's her concept picture:

Here's Sunflare again, completely finished with a nice eye repaint. Also may I add that Sunflare is an experiment in scuplting (and an attempt to use all my Makins before it dried up):

The return of the awful flames!:

Sunflare's symbol and the leg washer Happy :

Sunflare's bum:

EYES:

Horns:

Next up is Luna Lovegood, my first ever custom. She came to me a Styling Pinkie Pie and I don't regret snatching her off that Garage Sale table at all. She has not been rehaired, but her hair has been dipped in Rit Dye 'Golden Yellow'. Her eyes are repainted now, a lavendery-blue color that I think goes with Luna perfectly. She has a wand tucked behind her ear that is made out of Makins Clay and painted, not sealed though. Her symbol is a long, branching sunflower, made with machie flowers from wal-mart, I laid the green paint on thick to give it a textured stem look. She, unfortunately, appears to be suffering from some kind of pony cancer on her back hooves, spots of a strange orange-y color rest there that not even acetone can remove. Luna is also for sale for $20.

Luna, baby <3:

an upgraded symbol Happy :

Her newly painted eye, the reflection shine from the glass she's standing on accents it perfectly!:

Look at all that hair:

Lastly, for those of you who have been annoyed by your supply carrying arrangements, but thankful this christmas season that you don't have to put all your things where I do:

That's right. A U. P. S. BOX.

First floor: Seem we have some paintbrushes, acetone, a cup, Modge-Podge, Goo Gone, some headless baits, a non-headless bait, bits of clay plus the big block it came off of, and a stack of paper towels guarding four rows of paint, acrylic and enamel in nature:

Second floor: A dollar general bag with two Blossomforth packages, tails, brushes, and my 'pony comb':

Third floor: All the crap I forgot to put in the first time, two more rows of paint, an acrylic sealer, and my pallete.

Yes, the reinforced paper Chinet plate is my pallette. Well, I guess it's okay, considering I don't have much to put in it. <3

So, everyone, thanks for bearing with me through all these awful pictures! Having a merry Christma-hanna-kwanza-kas-stice-dan! And a happy new year!
