I have a really lovely NSS gusty, with stunning hair, great symbols, and some blue pen underneath, which I can sun - fade, but she has some savage pin - dot mould, I was wondering if anybody here knew any tips, hints or anything on how to get rid of this horrible mould? She would be near mint if it wasnt for the mould & blue ink, any help would be greatly appreciated!

You can give her a bath of Oxy-Clean and hot water. Submerge all parts that have the mold. Make sure its hot water. Then just leave her in there overnight and check in the morning. I have a Skyflier I just did this treatment on and it worked. I changed the mix once a day for 2 or 3 days and it got the pin dot mold to go away. It should be okay to get it on her hair to if you have to soak her, just shampoo and condition once you're done.
Hope this helps. Big Grin

I second the Oxi Clean method. Just keep an eye on Gusty's glitter. Some people have said that Oxi Clean will loosen glitter.

I've found that scrubbing with something like Cif cream actually works quite well to get rid of pin dot. But again, you'd need to be careful around her glittery symbols.

There is also a Helpful Tutorials thread that is under Announcements in the Corral. You might try there for more information.

Be careful when leaving ponies in Oxyclean overnight, I've ruined ponies in the past this way. It's been known to bleach red, pink, and orange colors in symbols and body color and can also ruin glitter if left soaking too long.

All I do with pin dot mold is fill up my bathroom sink with hot water, add 1-2 scoops of Oxyclean and then let the pony soak for about 5 minutes. I will then get a Mr Clean Magic Eraser and grind it into the offending areas. If the spots don't come off I'll let it soak for a little more and then repeat. The black specks should come right out but you have to really scrub them. You will be then left with tiny little holes that shouldn't be too noticeable to the naked eye that are a result of the plastic aging, but at least you will have removed the dirt and/or mold within.
