A part of me thinks wow thats funny, they're kinda ignorant teehee but the other part of me thinks well no, what they did was kinda wrong. I didn't post in that thread because i'm fairly new, but I know i'd feel kind of violated (i know it's silly to presume only pony fans happen upon this place and read but y'know) like "look at the pony losers" and then using that thread to show other people how "lame" they think we are. It's not like we have a thread dedicated to their site "look how lame the people are that bash us" etc

That's just weird and wrong. I had to put my 2 cents in as well. Singling out Adult Pony collectors is hypocritical to me.
However, it is a bit funny... and true.

Bah...it's funny, come on girls. And seriously, if you take a good look at the hobby from outside the bubble...it's a mighty strange thing indeed. I often look at the boxes of ponies and just chuckle to myself.

Are they laughing at HotWheels colectors or GI-Joe's? I don't see any differences, and I don't B**** them. I am very bored of that. My cousin keeps telling it is not healthy... I'm 31 and I love my ponies.
Aaaaah! It makes me feel better!

That right there looks like somebody didn't get what they wanted for Christmas, and their parents tossed their toys out on their 6th B-day and told them to "grow up".
Sad, so sad...
They need a pony!

lol, we have to be able to laugh at ourselves, everyone! (you loose too many chances to laugh if you can't laugh at yourself; at least, I know I would!)
this was my post:

heck YES I’m weird! Who would ever want to be boring and normal? Thanks for showing people the site, even if you did pick that thread to start with, lol!
As someone who has close to 1,000 of them, I don’t feel obsessed; if I’m obsessed with anything, lol, it’s with music.
My ponies have been purchased over the course of 20 years, so that’s what, 50 a year on average? Not even one a week. Some people, when they’re feeling down, go on an eating binge, or go shopping for a new wardrobe; I just spend $5 on a toy that reminds me of my childhood. *shrugs*
you tell me, lol, which one is ‘better’? |

Even though I think that it's very unfair to judge us—or anybody—because of our hobbies and interests, it is still their right to have that opinion. Just as it's our right to have the opposite opinion.
If I wanted to go look for it, I could find tons of stuff on the internet that belittles or comes against my personal views, hobbies, beliefs, etc. But that's their opinion and their entitled to express it. Besides, becoming angry with them doesn't prove that I'm right, just that I'm sensitive about the subject—which might only prove their point in their mind.
To each his own. ^^
