I always thought it was weird that even though Baby Sundance came with Molly she was never shown as a main baby with a personality in the tv series :(...

It is kind of strange how she kind of got left out. I do wonder why?

Maybe she was one they may have planned on adding later and it just never happened before the show was canceled? There's a lot of the more "mainstream" ponies that never made it to the old cartoon or only had small cameos, and it's a shame. Even when sets were added into the story, like the Big Brothers, some ponies from the group were left out, most likely to save time and money animating them.

But Sundance didn't really have much of a role in the TV series itself anyway so there was no real spotlight to steal (sort of like how Moondancer disappeared when her baby came around and even then Baby Moondancer didn't get into the main show :\)

It's all part of a vast zombie plot to confuse and distract us while they amass their army and prepare for the invasion.

It's because Megan came with Sundance... Even though after Escape from Catrina Sundance never had a speaking role again.

In MLP The Movie, you see baby Sundance as one of the dancers on stage. It's in the beginning of the movie. Also, if you notice, Sundance is in the audience laughing when all the baby ponies fall down after baby Lickity Split spins and knocks everyone down. Sundance is laughing at her daughter.

A little off topic, but I find it strange how there is a playset of Dream Castle that comes with Majesty, yet we never see Majesty in any episode or movie, despite the fact that we see Dream Castle a few times.

Hasbro was trying to hide the, uh, seedier aspects of Ponyland from kids. See...Majesty was no benevolent ruler. Her tyranny was renowned throughout Hasbro World, she being a feared and hated despot. Dream Valley was indeed taken by force (previously named Grundleland) in the epic war of 1853, whereby all but a handful of Grundles hunted down like dogs. The movie depicting these events was never released, as test groups felt the imagery was just too much for MLP's target audience.

You can see traces of Dream Valley's history in the movie though, with the Grundles finally allowed to return from exile and having thier castle returned to them. The actual dialogue was re-dubbed, in a further attempt to shield children (and toy buying parents) from the brutal events that shaped the 'utopian' Ponyland we all know and love.

I always thought that she was disabled and because ponies didn't have wheelchairs never left the castle Sad
