PostPosted: 0    Post subject: Very very basic pullip questions...

Hi everyone, I am *very* new to the world of Pullips and dolls in general; I am considering purchasing a Pullip because they are so cute. I have looked around this forum a bit, but I didn't find the answers to these questions; I'm sure they are out there but it seems easier to ask so please bear with me:

1. It looks like Pullips come in at least 2 different sizes. I want to buy one that will look at least reasonably sized compared to G1 MLPs. Can I get a regular/full sized Pullip, or will this be too large and I should get a "Little Pullip" instead? Comparison pics of Pullips with G1 MLPs would be helpful Smile

2. If I buy a Pullip, how easy/difficult is it to change her wig?

3. I have been checking out the dolls at Pullipstyle.com, but I don't see where they sell Pullip clothes on there (maybe they don't)? I know a few members here make and sell clothes for Pullips, but are there any websites you can order official Pullip clothes from?

Thanks Smile

Greetings Prixton!

First, Pullips are HUGE compared to ponies. I think only the giant styling ponies are comparable in size.

Second, wigs are easy to change, but it does depend if you are an clever or a complete klutz like me.

Third, Pullip doesn't have its own range of clothes anymore.

Wink

Thanks for the response, Loa, that's very helpful Smile Some of the Ebay sellers selling the "Little Pullips" say they are 12.5 cm, so it sounds like those at least should be similar in size to G1 MLPs. I guess the little pullips aren't as detailed or as versatile as the big ones, but it's a start, and I've got my eye on one or two Look Round

I don't know much about Pullips but from the pictures I've seen, I'd say that the Little Pullips are probably appropriately sized for ponies. =) They're not as detailed at the regular Pullips, I think, but they're still amazingly cute.

Loa! You can't be that bad at changing a wig! *giggle*

They are just glued down. Most peel off with a little force, only the minority are well glued down. (OK, Nero.)

Oh and you can Barbie clothes, they mostly fit.

heres someone you may remember!

I'm not that bad really. I'm just fussy as to where the wig should sit from there.

My Jupi was very natural, except her "bangs" are a pain. Dita's wig though is a little off, and only looks right when its in a ponytail.

Oh, and for Prix:

Welcome to the Pullip world, Prixton! Beware, it's addicting Silly .
I just checked my Little Pullip Rida and she can ride perfectly on a G1 Baby Pony (sorry, no camera at the moment).
BTW, have you looked at Dals, too? They are the little sisters of Pullip's boyfriend and cute like hell!

Thanks for the pic Loa and the info, Babyelf! I have actually looked at the Dals, but to be honest...I find their facial expressions slightly scary *ducks flying fakies and pullip parts*

I have settled on one or two Little Pullips to buy, but now my next quest is finding where I can buy clothes for them (many shops I've found sell clothes for regular sized Pullips but not the little ones).
