It felt like it took forever, but they've finally arrived! I took a zillion pics so please bear with me here...
As I was unpacking them:
In their new clothes:
My cat inspecting them:
Picnic-ing and day-dreaming (I've got BIG plans for this display, there will be more live plants, some fake grass, a pretend sky with sun and clouds, it's nowhere near finished):
Meeting the herd...
Penelope (Cheshire Cat) got along really well with the babies:
and Lorelei (Riletto) got on best with the adults, although she kept wanting rides and most of them got sick of it, except Sparkler, who rather enjoyed Lorelei's company:
So let's see, first impressions...
I think they are absolutely perfectly sized for the ponies, so I am glad I got the petites. I am a bit sad their eyes don't move, but it's a small price to pay. I have found the differences between the two of them very stunning; I guess it makes sense since they were made a few years apart though. For example, Penelope has much greater range of motion with her head, which can move up and down (Lorelei can only move hers side to side). Penelope's eyes are also MUCH nicer, they reflect light better and have more depth to them, and Penelope's hair is styled much better, her curls hold whereas poor Lorelei's bangs will not stay down and you can see the stitching of the wig underneath. Lorelei does have one advantage though, because her legs are spaced a bit further apart at her feet, which gives her better balance and she stands much more easily than Penelope (this may have something to do with the fact that Penelope came with a stand and Lorelei didn't).
In case anyone is curious, I did go a bit crazy buying accessories and clothes for them; they have 3 outfits each now (sorry I didn't take pics of all of them). The dress Penelope is wearing was made by a girl who sells crocheted doll clothes on Ebay. Both pairs of boots and Lorelei's dress came from 2 Petite Blythe clothing sets. I bought the clothing sets (which weren't cheap!) based on the fact that a stickied thread in the pullipstyle forum for the Petite Pullips said that Petite Blythe clothes fit Petite Pullips perfectly, and although the clothes do fit, the boots didn't fit without me completely slicing them open in the back (I guess Petite Pullips have bigger feet than Petite Blythes). It isn't a big deal but I thought I should point it out in case anyone else is thinking of buying Petite Blythe footwear for their Petite Pullips
Well, thank you for viewing my latest additions!
