I'm still not all the way home yet, so no pics, but I had definitely had fun. It was great meeting everyone and getting to put a face to some of the ponyland screen names. MBJ is an awsome hostess.

I don't take pictures so you will have to wait for someone else. I happen to know that sailorlibra was being a stealth photographer during the event.

There were a lot of people there and a lot of ponies exchanging hands. There was also a lot of food.

MBJ is an awesome hostess and her family is just as awesome. They are willing for us to come set up and take over for the day to do pony stuff.

Scooter races - we had G3 scooter races. I had Tropical Suprise drive the scooter and despite being fast in the test runs, she must have suffered stage fright and came in dead last in her heat...she didn't even make it to the finish line and sulked the rest of the day. I didn't see who won finally.

Whack-A-Fakie or in my case Whack-the-Organizer! - This is a fun game, we had a tennis racket (best whacker), a bat and a field hockey stick. Using the field hockey stick, I whacked a fakie.....right into sailorlibra! Horns were flying off fakies and at least one limb was severed during the whacking. DialgaBright from TP came in first, I think it was LilAlleyCat's daughter that came in second and yours truly came in third place...woo hoo!

We had a pinata with a lot of candy and nifty items. I decided to not get into the crowd so only saw stuff second hand but you could hear the roar of the crowd when the pinata split open.

Customs contest - the theme was Carousel Ponies. WhippetLuv got first place, Paradox second and Kar Red Roses took third place. I think there were about 15 entries and it was neat to see how the theme was interpreted for it. I have mine posted over in the customs forum if you want to take a look at her Smile

Auction and Raffle - We had a live auction with Jewel's dad acting as the auctioneer. The hightlights (or at least the two highest bids) were a Giant Plush Frilly Frocks who went to Daricen (is that spelled right?) and Unicornucopia's Styling Starry Night pony who now belongs to Wart (I think this is correct, feel free to correct me if I have names wrong). The raffle had a lot of prizes to choose from and I think everyone got something.

Jewel's Pony Room Tour - at frequent intervals, there would be announcement that the next tour of the pony room would be going up. Wow. Words do not do her room justice, you will have to wait for someone to put up pictures but it was just awesome.

We had about 20 group photos taken. We all stood on the stairs and Jewel's Event Staff took a picture for each of the cameras that people handed to them.

We had some non-pony people there too. I know RowdyCowboy (is this right? I just saw her actual name) had her mom there. DialgaBright had his mom there, lunamadison had her SO other there, there was a husband there and there was another SO there.....when he was playing whack-a-fakie..he had to stop when someone yelled out encouragment to him. "Come on Long Haired Guy!" and then someone else yelled out in a singsong voice "Jeeesus!" He doubled over laughing but then whacked a fakie to take first place (and it stood in first place for quite awhile)

I had given Prixton a ride up and shortly after the raffle, we started saying the round of good byes, see you in Vegas etc and made our way home. I had found 5 FTBs that I wanted and a Winger, among several nifty baits that came home with me so I was pleased.

My allergies today are something nasty after being under the trees and outside all day yesterday despite taking meds. It was so much fun though and I can't wait for the VA Meet in August (and hopefully the Fair next month)

It was great! Yeah, that was me being sneaky with the camera. Greywolf asked me to take a few shots so I got some of the whack a fakie and then of everyone around. So if there was someone who did not want to be in photos, I think I may have gotten at least one shot of them somehow.

The event was whack a fakie, but when RCP came up, I had to duck into the fetal position! LOL. She did really good and placed third once she got the swing of things. We were using the alicorn fakies, you know those pink or purple fakies that are unicorn and pegasus put together. You'd be surprised at how fast those horns flew off! One of them even managed to whack the leg off of one! Then someone else bought it to make a cyborg custom.

MBJ was an awesome hostess again this year as always. You guys would love the pony room tour, it's one of the meet highlights.

I can't wait to see the pictures as well.

I hope to see many of you guys that I had a chance to meet and hang out with at the VA meet. ^_^v

I took a ton of pics. I can't post them until I get permission from everyone I took pics of, just in case someone doesn't want their pic online. So, this might take a few days!

I don't mind my or my daughters pics being shown so there is one permission given Smile
