My husband and I have been talking about doing a this for a few years now and have not had the joy because of the funds not being there. Well I was able to pay off a few bills a few months back. So we desided that we would take the plung and go for it. Its going to take some work on the both of us to make the payments but it will all be worth it in the long run.



So what is it that we are doing you ask? Well I will tell you then ...................











We are building a detatched 2+ car garage in the backyard. I am really going to enjoy it when I have to be to work at 6 in the morning and dont have to shovle my car out of the snow. YA

We started work on it yesterday and have been taking pics when I can. I am not able to get my camera to work right so have to use my camera on the phone. Sorry for the poor quality.

Dug up some sad plants in front of the deck.

Getting there

How exciting! You won't know yourself once you have your garage built. Not only can you park your car in there but garages make awesome storage areas too Make sure you post a pic when it is finished!!

Thanks My husband is out there right now moveing dirt to our neighbors that want some. We had way more dirt then what we were planning on. The yard is getting so torn up that its all going to have to be tilled and have grass replanted.

Congrats Aves, how long do you think it shall take you guys to get it done?

Husband just ordered the supplys today and will be delivered on monday. We will have to go get the doors later on. They are special order and so are the trusses for the roof.
We are hoping to get it done this month. All the work that is done was done in 4 days.

Will have a nice deck with pavers and retaining wall blocks. This is my backyard right now.


Almost done. The drive way is done now but dont have any pics of it yet.

Ya it was a spur of the moment thing.We could of waited but I really didn't want to deal with another winter and getting my car out of the snow at 4 in the morning.
We had snow last night and it all melted and turned the yard into one big mess !!!!
