You are all invited!

In the middle of Southern Minnesota lies the small, unassuming town of New Richland. Little does this sleepy hamlet know that in 1 short week, it will be hosting a fun weekend of Pony Goodness!

Be ready for arts and crafts, games, a campfire with marshmallows, and of course, trading and selling! I've already started gathering prizes- I'll let you know what we have as the time gets closer!

The Day Camp will be held at the local sportsman's club, which has a cozy building and grassy fields to play in. The only thing it's lacking is running water, but there is a gas station about a block away, and a rustic outhouse. (Hey, c'mon.... it's free!)
For those of you who want to spend the night, there's plenty of room to set up tents, or curl up by the fireplace inside. In nearby Waseca or Albert Lea there are motels, too.
A great chance to meet new pony friends, play some games, make some things to hang on your fridge, and win some pony prizes! Of course there will be space to set up your own ponies, for sale, trade, or display!

Oh! This is only about 5 hours from me so I may very well be there! I'll have to see about when the WI ponymeet is this year though and if hubby wants to camp with me!

My hubby is going to be there, too, so your hubby wouldn't be alone on the "pony widow(ers) bench! I still have lots of planning to do- like food and such- but I have 8 months to get that worked out!

haha! would have missed this thread if it were not in your sig, I live about one and a half hours away so there is a big possibility for me to go. Luck I have my own tent! I'll have to check out the hiking trails near by and maybe I'll make a weekend of it.

There's a pretty nice one in Sakatah State Park, the Singing Hills Trail. I think it's also a biking trail, since parts of it are paved, but it's good for walks, too!
There's also a fun county park nearby (Courthouse Park in Waseca County if you want to look it up) that has a few miles of trails. The bugs will be awful in August though! We usually walk that in the fall.
It would be wonderful if you could come! And I'm glad that the siggy works- I made it WAY harder than I needed to!
I know there are other people in Minneapolis, so maybe you could carpool...

I just read the post about the MLP Fair on the move again! Hoorah! And for those of us here in the upper Midwest who are still a tidge too far away, don't forget about the MN Pony Camp Meet! (Pony camp is just the theme- it's a meet with fun camp games included!)
