Hi everybody!

My name is Nichole and I live on the South Carolina coast. I work full time in Emergency Management for the government and I am also a full time art student; I'm working towards a photography degree. It's a good thing I'm not married or have any children because I would have no time for anything with my schedule! :-P

I wouldn't really call myself a My Little Pony collector yet. Basically, I know I had them as a child and one day I was browsing around online and saw a very neat custom pony. I thought it was just something someone did...I had no idea that lots of people did that. I looked around some more and some of the ponies were just awesome! I then decided that I might want to try my hand at that. So I bought a lot of 7 ponies on e-bay and when they got to me, they were kind of a mess. But, then I cleaned them up and fixed their hair and now I feel bad about customizing them because some of them look pretty new. I haven't done anything to them yet, although I have planned out three pony designs that I would like to make. I don't know the "rules" as far as collecting goes and if 'real' collectors would be mad at me if I mess up these ponies by customizing them...so as of now they are sitting on my bookshelf awaiting their fate.

Welcome to the arena can't wait to see what you come up with there is nothing wrong with customizing I would hit up the custom forum and see what others have done with there ponies. Also don't be afraid to ask the customizors for advice most of us don't bite hehe

Welcome to the Arena. I'm pleased you are keen to start customising! It's always satisfying to tidy up a really manky pony and give it a totally new look. I'd probably look around for a cheap 'bait' lot rather than customize a good condition pony (particually a G1), but that is just my opinion. Check out the custom forum for tips and ideas, there are many talented people in there who will be only too happy to help you out.

kiwimlp - I bought them as a bait lot, at least the person who sold them said they would be good for it.

Nappercasper - I'll post some pics of them soon so I can get get everyone's opinion. There is one in there that I'm sure I'll customize because her hair bothers me and I'm not fond of her color, but the others are in really pretty nice condition (I think anyways, I'm no collector though) and I may keep one or two the way they are.
