Hello Everyone!!

Well, it's been one year since the first Paint Program Art Contest... so now it is time for the second one!

I am going to start accepting entries from now until May 1st, unless you all think I should wait longer? After that I will be taking votes for a couple of days.

This year, I am NOT going to reveal the names of the people who enter the artwork until AFTER the voting is done. This is to prevent people from just voting for entries by people that they know. All right? All right!!

Now then, on to the rules! The same rules as last year!

RULES
*Entries MUST be made in the Microsoft Paint Program (no touching up in Photoshop)!
*Must have something to do with My Little Ponies (Generation 1, 2, or 3)
*No R rated Entries allowed!
*You can't vote for your own Entry!
*One entry per person please.
*All entries must be received by May 1st, 2005.

DO NOT POST your entry here, please! I will number the entries and put them up on this website: www.mylittlepony.org/g...ntcontest2 for people to view.

I have not decided what will be given out for prizes? but there will be three winners.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd. However, everyone who participates will receive something (most likely G3 stickers).
I will post here when I decide what the prizes will be.

When finished making your entry in Paint, please save it as .PNG . It will keep your image from becoming distorted! (at least, that is how I save all of the stuff I do in paint)

I've decided not to enter this year due to my input device. Many artists now use tablets for drawing programs, others use mice. I'm stuck with my sucky trackball due to the carpal tunnel that my optical mouse was causing.

Trackballs are impossible to use on illustrations. u.u; If I did use it, I'm afraid I'd only worsen my wrist.

I'm so envious of people that have tablets. Their illustrations always look so clean & pretty. *sigh*

muahaha i think ill give it a shot, with my purtyful mouse lol

Yay! I wanted to try this last year, but didn't have the time.. Definitely going to see if I can this year.

I really don't get along with Paint though.. LOL

Announcing prizes may help, because then people know what they're competeing for. I dunno...

Wow, what a great contest! Making the artists use a primitive program like Paint really levels the field. Good call.

I have a few questions though:
-If you can't announce prizes yet, what were the prizes last year, so we can get some idea? (Last year's entries were all fabulous! *Intimidated*)

-Can prizes be shipped overseas? (If they're ponies or whathaveyou)

-Which entry won last year?

-Does the entry have to be specifically made for the contest, or can it be something done previously in paint that the contestant deems worthy to enter with? (This might be my situation... I doubt I'll have time to knock anything contest-worthy up this week, what with school starting)

Thanks... I really want to enter, but I'll need this info first.

Oh, and also - Maybe the contest could be promoted by a small banner or link or something that entrants can put in their signature? Just a thought. ^^

1st: A Mom and Baby set from G1
2nd: An Adult from G1
3rd: either an MIB G3 or a MIB G2 (from 1997 or 98)

Nah it doesn't have to be made specifically for the contest.

I could probably make a link in my posts... but I don't know about a banner... I could try to find some help making one I'm sure!

I would have liked to enter, but there is no way I can whip out a entry in the time that is left. Oh well... I couldn't compete with all those other entries anyway!

Aerosmith Gal can u make the deadline sometime after may 3rd lol ahh ive been so busy, ive only been able to draw ONE picture for the art swap. EEP senior speech is may 3rd in no wil not count the days on my fingers lol ahh AND ive got a parade sadturday, the vinton dogwood parade eep
