Ever since my last topic here (http://www.mlparena.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=255124.html) the whereabouts of this little one have been haunting me. I knew, KNEW that I'd seen her around a few months ago, but I couldn't put my finger on where. My search took me up into the attic and through every box and bag of my old horse toys and figurines. I came across ponies that I'd thought were lost to the ages (sea pony Celebration and pink seaside baby) but the one I searched for eluded me...untill now.


May I present...Lil' Brush and Grow Filly, Ruby.





Y'know where she was after all that? At the bottom of the box containing my childhood MLP collection! The one place I must've seen her, but the one place I was sure she couldn't be. From pictures I also distinctly recognise her blanket which could still be somewhere in storage, but for now she's as is.

SO, onto business. The first thing I want to do is find a PC for her (if anyone knows an active, vintage LPS forum too?). I also ask that noone PMs me asking to buy her yet. I understand that there are collectors interested in her, and I'd like everyone to get a fair chance. I will either edit this post, or make a new topic when she is for sale.

i knew you described a ruby!!! im gonna say around 100$ if its just the filly her self a little less if she has significant damage. but it also depends on offers you get or if your trying to trade for another item like a rare pony.

PLEASE let me know when you decide to sell or trade her as i am very interested!

O_o you have Ruby!!!!! Congratulations on finding her! It's a great feeling to find those childhood toys. She is beautiful!

Cheers babylickitysplit! I wouldn't say she's damaged, though her hind 'motion leg' is a slightly different shade to her body. I'll post more pics and description in her sales post. Really glad I found her though - it had been driving me loopy!

LOL i just knew that was it are you going to be taking offers? or just sell directly?

and i dont see to much damage either. just a few rubs to paint it looks like and some crinkly tinsel. does her mechanism still work for her tail?

Her tinsel is pretty crazy! Her tail 'grows' fine, but it takes notions about going back in. Maybe I've just not got the knack - my mum could do it!
I'll probably be taking offers on her since I know there's quite a lot of interest.

Out of curiosity how rare is she, in pony terms? Mimic, Icey, Rapunzel, or some crazy columbian? :-)

mmm..... i wanna say rapunzel rare? crazy columbian maybe?? i know in the community about 10 or more are in the hands of actual collectors (5 or so being complete sets, but more and more keep popping up in this last year. im guessing she was available in australia and the uk/overseas but not in the us cause i never saw her when i was a kid and they never come up for sale here. i will def be giving you offers once u post her up

Yeah about $100. Last one on ebay with accessories went for about that (but the seller wouldn't post internationally so that kept the price down). The last one with accessories went for about $300. If I were you I'd do an auction on here, if not ebay and see what happens. If you can find her accessories she will go for more.
