I was thinking how I would feel if Hasbro made a G3 Glory. I admit it would be cool to see but I don't know if I want Hasbro fooling around with classics.

Are there any ponies you don't want made into a G3?

Medley, because she was my first Pegasus pony. That, and I'm not exactly sure the new G3 Pegasus wings would suit her.

I'm kind of the same way, don't want Hasbro messing with the originals, but I think it would be kind of neat if there could be MO versions of some of the old G1s or something. I mean, the customs of G1s made out of G3s are so gorgeous that I'd love to see what Hasbro would/could do. Why'd you bring this question up, lol?! I'm torn!

However, I don't think that they should make G3 TEs or BBEs... they were borderline freaky with the G1s! I'd love some TAF G3s, but not necessarily based off the G1s.

I know what you mean! It's a hard choice. I have a Majesty G3 custom. While she's pretty, she's doesn't have that aurora that the G1 Majesty commands. I think some can be made into G3's and would be pretty much well recepted. See! I'm so torn too, LOL!

That's a hard one definately! I think it would be neat to see but almost a betrayal to the originals...don't get me wrong I love the G3's but they are unique in their own way!

I kind of think it's interesting to see how they re-interpret the ponies...since they basically re-use the names but the ponies tend to bear extremely slight resemblance to each other, if any at all, save for perhaps the name itself.

I'm not quite sure what I think of them. I like customs of them... they're rather cute, but I don't think I'd want Hasbro to start making them. If G3's were nothing but remakes of the originals, I probably wouldn't bother with them anymore and I'd just collect G1's.

Besides, I rather like the G3 designs, and if Hasbro made remakes of the G1's, we'd be missing out on things that make the G3's special... like jewel ponies and sparkle ponies.

Hmmm, I would have said 'no Hasbro, don't mess with our memories' but some of the customs I have seen from members of G1 ponies as G3's are excellent!

I doubt Hasbro would do such a good job as our customisers though so I'll have to say no to remakes I think.

I love the G1-as-G3 customs. It's refreshing to see the originals in a new light. But I agree that Hasbro would probably screw it up LOL

I say leave it to the customizers.

I don't mind Hasbro reusing G1 names.. Minty turned out pretty cute, and so did Bowtie. I really didn't like G3 Applejack but..to each their own, and I don't have to buy her so yeah.

Wouldn't like it at all because it would be injecting the world with the past. Now reusing names is not a problem for me, but to use exact designs disturbs me some. It's like...not letting the G3s have thier own world.

I think it's bad enough they can't come up with any original names and are using G1 names! It just seemed wrong when I saw Bowtie and then Applejack had such a boring symbol. I don't think I could get used to reissues of the G1s as G3s. Customs are great, you can concentrate on your favourite and there are some really clever customisers who get it right but for Hasbro to remake them all and mass produce them it would just be wrong.

As for specifically which ones not to recreate, definitely those BBE ponies, they were awful (sorry to collectors!). The UK were saved from BBE ponies, and from the So-Softs which I think look really dull in comparison to ordinary G1s, however, that's a whole different argument!
