Important Notice to ALL Arena Members:

The mods have noticed a disturbing and unwelcome trend lately among our members. This is a reminder that the Arena is a welcoming pony home to ALL members: new, old, collectors, bronies, customizers, and fans alike.

We've been seeing an increasing number of threads with an "us vs them" attitude. These are completely against what the Arena stands for; as such, these threads will no longer be tolerated.

All we expect from our members is to respect each other and to follow the rules. This includes our PG-13 rule, no linking to other pony forums, and new members making introduction posts. (*SITE RULES*) Any that feel they cannot comply with these simple requests are welcome to leave.

Those caught repeatedly breaking the rules will find their memberships at risk.

Bronies/FIM fans, please realize that pony fans have been around for years and you are entering into a well established, PG-13 community. Long-time fans/collectors, please remember we were all new once and that everyone has their own tastes. Those who do not like customs, please respect artists' choice to do as they will with their ponies. In turn, customizers please respect that there are members who do not like the idea of pony customization.

We are all here because we love the same ponies. Whether we're fans of G1s, G2s, G3s, G3.5s, G4s, fakies, or customs, we need to show each other respect.

I think we all just need to show mutual respect, even if we agree to disagree, and be aware of the forum rules, they are there to keep this place welcoming to all members old and new.

I think its great to see some new blood, even being one of the 'older members' and do hope that everyone can start putting differences aside and see this place for what it is - pony fans of all gems as well as fakie & fim lovers Smile

Yeah, some of the bad mouthing of customizers was really uncalled for. I came here because of customs. I learned to love ponies because of them too.

i came here because of customs too!
i didnt see any1 badmouthing any customizers, but i guess it got pretty out of control if it was mentioned in the first post! Sad

fo real, anyone can customize their pony any way they like, and it's wrong for other people to criticize them for it! if i ever saw anyone do that, i would feel like going all like Throws Fakie

I've heard so much about "Brony disrespect" for G1s (SERIOUSLY?! I still can't get my mind around it) that I'm going to do a "Respect the Classics" post on my blog for new pony fans/collectors who are weirded out by G1s. Show younger collectors/fans why older fans love the G1s and hopefully turn them on to loving them too. Flirty Pony

I never saw this new trend coming at all..I just thought we were getting an innocent new pony cartoon LOL. I'm doing my part to pass along love for the originals though and if I change even one person's position to a more neutral one, I'll be happy. Smile
