I think it's sad that other people have to be nasty and mean to someone just because they're doing something nice for someone else.

I'll post my blog link when it's done The thread I asked for people's opinions in really helped get the neurons firing. My blog is a Hater Free Zone...people can debate if they want, but anybody coming on to bash someone/ponies or start a generational war will get promptly removed by the scruff of their neck. I don't take crap in the pony department! I think I have a lot of interesting points to show people who just don't get the G1 thing. It is overwhelming to sort through all the types, styles, variants, and all that, I'll give someone that, but hopefully a little primer will show in photos why so many of us cherish them.

*bows* Thanks a lot for this, Kiwi and all mods. I've been a little away from the arena this year, and the times I can get in I've seen some threads with this topic that was a little disturbing not knowing what was happening.

Pardon my ignorance, but... what happened?

It does not matter what generatio you collect or even which ones you prefer. We all share a common ground in that we love colorful plastic toy horses. Why some people feel the need to discriminate or become hostile towards others who share the same hobby is beyond me. We are all one community with different backgrounds, beliefs and ideas and we all need to keep an open and welcoming mind

I think we should all embrace each other. Besides, the bronies are breathing new life into the MLP community.

Even people who never even said the words "My Little Pony" are talking about it now. Why? Because of the popularity of FiM and this Bronies trend/movement/collective thing. I know a lot of you have people around you who are supportive of your pony-love, but not all of us have that. Maybe it's gonna help make being a fan of ponies more acceptable.

Just a gentle reminder folks, peace love and ponies no matter the who, what, when or where of how you got here we are all here for the ponies.

Again, well said , Kiwi. I play on Second Life and for a while belonged to a Brony group there, but was actually harrassed into leaving because I would wear a G1 pony avvatar. And on second life, they dont have to be pg-13. Custom pony avvies were also very cruelly dealt with. I was hoping such a generation gap had not reached the Arena, which I had always held as a safe place.
It helps to remember, without the G1's there may not even be the ponies we know today.
