I finally got my box of backboards down to go through them today. Sadly, I have a feeling they're not in the $5 each condition that I was originally told.
Here's some pictures.
The backs of most of them look something like this:

But the fronts of most of them look something like this:

Is this typical? How does this affect the price?
I also have a lot of the mail-order ads and inserts from the packages.
Anyone know any going prices for stuff like this?https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-t5dUnvWdv4o/ToTpH9r8fmI/AAAAAAAAAn4/R47UsIB9F-U/s576/BeachParty1.jpg

How strange. It worked when I hit preview, and all the HTML is in there, but now the images aren't showing up for me, either.
I put the links to the images instead.

The fronts look normal, that is just the ripping from where the plastic came off. I have a bunch of backcards that look like that, and I would say they are worth around $5 if there is minimal creasing elsewhere. I'm not a BC collector so I am not sure if there are BCs that are more valuable than others.

Unless they are covered in mold, mildew and the cardboard is peeling away from itself, most backcards have a $5-10 value. Such cute babies!

That's pretty typical of backcards to have those flaws. I've seen much worse and still paid over $5. I think the value is based a lot on which pony's card it is, not just the condition. Are you going to be selling? I still need a few!
Leaflets go way up and way down in price. Some won't sell for $0.25 while others have gone for tens of dollars. I'd be able to tell you pretty quickly which ones are common and which ones might fetch more. If you're still unsure, you can always take offers for a week.

@hathorcat: I'm pretty sure most of mine are from inside the packages, but I do have a couple that were mailed to me. I've uploaded images of all the leaflets I have here:
picasaweb.google.com/1...899/Ponies
There's also some random things in there, like a "Keeping Current" newspaper clipping about My Little Pony from 1989, and a couple of pictures printed on light cardboard. (For stickers?)
@Scraleos: awww, of course fate would have it that my two Twinkle Eye backcards are in the worst condition of any I have. Apparently my cousin and I took crayons to those. Darn kids.
Here's a complete list of all the backboards I have, all in varying condition, but definitely without mold or mildew. (The New Mexico desert is great for preserving everything!) I don't know if any of them are particularly rare or not.
Baby Sparkle Ponies
-- Baby Gusty
-- Baby North Star
(recycled names – look nothing like the Gusty and North Star you’re thinking of)
Magic Message Pony
-- Cloud Dreamer
-- Windy
-- Cuddles
Baby Ballerina
-- Baby Toe Dance
Fancy Mermaid
-- Baby Sea Shimmer (name is ripped off on front)
My Little Pony Pegasus
-- Firefly (original run)
Teeny Tiny
-- Little Honey Pie
Newborn Pony
-- Tappy
-- Yo-Yo
Sundae Best
-- Sherbert
Candy Cane Pony
-- Molasses
Sweetberry Pony
-- Blueberry Baskets
Twinkle Eyed (VERY damaged – scribbled on)
-- Bright Eyes
-- Tic-Tac-Toe
Sparkle Ponies
-- Sunspot
-- Star Hopper
-- Twinkler
So Soft
-- Twilight
-- Crumpet
-- Taffy
-- Bangles
-- Hippity Hop
Twice as Fancy
-- Buttons
Rainbow Curl
-- Stripes
Sundazzle
--Sunbeam
Sweetheart Sister
-- Wild Flower
Play n’ Wear outfits
-- Pretty as a Picture
-- Milk n’ Cookies
My Little Pony Rubber Stamp
-- Firefly
My Little Puppy
-- Pretty Poodle
Fakies
-- Talk to Me Pony
-- Little Beauties
I am looking to sell all the backboards in the hear future, either through eBay or Etsy. (Probably Etsy.)

That Dance leaflet is pretty cool- I don't think I've seen it before. That should go for at least $5. If you are selling I would like it!
These ones might actually be worth something:
Parade of ponies
Satin & Coats
Dance
Posters
News clippings
The rest are all pretty common and probably not worth more than $2.

The art of those looks really bright and stunning, I wouldn't worry, I think people here would snatch them up.

oh wow, you have a newspaper from Current after ordering the pony? I've never seen that before.. that would probably go $8-$10, maybe more depending it people fight over it.
I think they're shorting you on the pamphlet cost.. I've never paid less than $3 for one. Not that I wouldn't love to.. lol, they're just usually listed at $3-$5.
I'd LOVE the sparkle pony one and the mommy charm one if you plan to sell
Oh and also, don't throw out those colored TE backcards! someone will definitely still want them.

OOoo! Please do post in this thread when you have everything up for sale --- I've been looking for one of those so-soft backcards for a long time and just missed one on ebay!
Here's how I would price the backcards if I were selling them:
$1-2
Pegasus - Firefly
Play n Wear
Rubber Stamp
Fakies
Puppies
$3-4
Baby Sparkle Ponies
Baby Ballerina
Teeny Tiny
Newborn Pony
$5 range
Sundae Best
Candy Cane
Sweetberry
Sparkle
Rainbow Curl
Sundazzle
Sweetheart Sister
Magic Message
$6 range
Mermaid
Twinkle Eyed (3rd release)
So-Soft (3rd release)
Twice As Fancy (2nd release)
I had some of those pamphlets for sale at the MLP Fair this year. I don't remember all the prices, but I'll give you what I would estimate them:
Dance Pamphlet: $5-10 This one is big, and it's harder to find. Depending on how popular it is, I'd give it a wide range. But it should sell for at least $5.
Keeping Current: Never seen that one before, but am I right in guessing it's not something that was packaged with a pony? Looks like a magazine or newspaper piece. I'd price it $3-5, but you may want to take offers on it since it isn't something common.
Mummy Pamphlet: $6
Parade of Ponies: (fairly common) $2
Beach Party: (fairly common) $1-2
"Special Day in Ponyland": VERY common. $.25-.50
Sparkle Ponies - $2
Wedding Happiest Day - is it larger or smaller than the "Special Day"? The larger one isn't as common ($2); the smaller one is common $.50-$1
Day at the Beach - $2-4 Not that common and it features Rapunzel!
Wedding Invitation - $7-10 harder to find and large. I think it folds out to a poster?
Molly & B. Sundance - $1-2 common but has some good pictures.
