Just a warning to Ebay sellers, this buyer bought ten Dolly Mix ponies that I was selling last week for around £1.90 each. She sent me a message the day they arrived saying essentially that she wasn't pleased with her purchase, she wasn't looking to buy something so small and that she had seen these ponies for sale in Tesco for 90p. I didn't see this message until two days later when she had already left me neg feedbacks for the lot of them stating that I had been dishonest, unresponsive and a rip-off. Suffice to say I am livid... and sellers beware if she buys from you, make sure to respond to her petty requests within a day or she will leave you neg feedbacks!

Enraged

I don't understand why buying and reselling makes so many people in the UK ticked off. I remember another thread similar to this where a lady in the UK backed out of a sale and called the seller a scammer cause she saw the ponies in the stores :-/

That would be like going to a grocery store and yelling at them cause you saw tomatoes for sale at the store down the street. How dare you sell the same item for slightly more!! INSANITY!!!

Wow, I can't believe she slammed you with so many negatives, that's ridiculous. Sheesh, the nerve of some people. You're reselling them on ebay, are you not expected to make some kind of profit? If she had also seen them in the store then she should have at least had some indication of how small they were, and if not, that's why it's always best to ask a seller questions before a bid.

I'm really sorry that happened to you, but thanks for the heads up.

If she saw them in the store wouldn't she know that they were small? That's just total jank >:( shame on her!

Oh my god!! I just looked at the feedback she left for you!! That's horrible!

Maybe you can get it condensed to one "negative"? I thought on Ebay if you have one buyer with multiple feedbacks within the same "transaction" they combine the feedback? I know I've gotten 2 positives from selling 2 items to the same person and it only registers as one positive.

Isn't this how it works?

Oh and she is sooo blocked.

What a witch! Make sure you leave a response to all her feedbacks, and then contact ebay. That is just nasty and so uncalled for

wait....why should you get any negatives on this at all? you havent done anything wrong have you? mercynova if you sold an item and the seller received the item as described, within a reasonable postage time frame, without any excessive postage charges and you didnt ignore any communication from the buyer for an excessive amount of time....then you havent done a thing wrong...never mind combining a negative you shouldnt be getting one at all...negatives are for bad sellers, no communication, items not as described, etc - are you contacting ebay to get the negs removed?

Whoa Crazy Whoa oh my goodness what an awful buyer! and a stupid one too! if she had really seen them in Tesco , then she would know the size of them. and I'm pretty sure that they have never ever been sold anywhere for only 90p unless the candy was out of date. she is lying . it sounds just like a case of buyers remorse as Glacia said . Throws Fakie Enraged
Ebay is unfortunately more in favor of buyers, but it is still possible to get undeserved negs removed sometimes. I would contact them and see what they say - it cant hurt and you have nothing to lose Wink I'm so sorry you've gone through this though Sad Pony

what the crud? I am so sorry, MercyNova Hug I don't know what you can do, but I'd contact ebay as well, at the very least respond to each feedback with the proper story so people can see it wasn't you in the wrong.

Thank you so much for your kind words and advice everyone, I have been looking into it and I'm not entirely sure how to respond to negative feedbacks although I've seen other people do it? I will certainly be contacting ebay, this has really put me off selling again for a good while Sad

I do believe that all those negs only count as one on my actual score? Which is why it's 99.something% not any worse! But they still all show up on my feedback page. So gutted, I'm tempted to buy a bunch of stuff so that new feedbacks push those off the front page Sad

Thanks once again, I'm so glad that we're such a united community!

Dont worry - its easy enough to respond to the feedback she left Hug
On ebay , click on your feedback score to see your feedback profile . The list of all the feedback will show up. scroll down to the bottom of the page, and under the feedback list you will see:
"what would you like to do next?" there will be 3 options. The second option down is " Reply to feedback received" Wink click on that and then you can respond to those negs.
