I just recieved my ponies from this auction. I am very disappointed... but I think it's my own fault. I thought the ponies were MOC and they are not. They were taken off and played with, then put back on the card. See, I was bidding on my cell phone and didn't see that the cards had been opened. What should I do? I think the price is way too high for ponies that were played with...
Suggestions on how I should deal with this?

Hm.. I mean the seller doesn't specifically say they are MOC, but I feel the auction is a little misleading because it also doesn't specify that they have been removed. Yes you can see that from the pictures, but I think the seller could have been clearer. I'd send the seller a message just saying that you thought they were MOC and wouldn't have bid that high is you realized they had been opened, and just see what they say.

| Most of the ponies come in there original packaging and show little to no signs of use. |
Hmm. It sounds to me like this was intentional. This sentence is just vague enough that it would seem like the toys are MOC, especially with the use of "in" instead of "with".
Every listing I've seen where the toys come like this, the seller clearly states that they have been opened and put back in the blister or box. I would definitely try to talk to the seller about it. Especially considering how much you paid.

Ok, this is what I am writing to the seller:

| Hello! I recieved my ponies today, thank you for such fast shipping! Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed when I opened the package - I thought I was getting MOC ponies, not ponies that were removed to be played with and then re-carded. I realize part of the problem was that I was using Ebay on my cell phone, so the pics were pretty small. However, you did not say that they had been removed from the card anywhere in the auction, either... There is no way I would have bid so high had I been aware of this. Would it be possible for me to send them back and get a refund? Thank you! |
How is that?

You should be able to get a refund, he accepts returns for 14 days but you have to pay the return shipping.

Wow.... you'd have to be really looking for an opened package to notice that they are opened o.O at least I couldn't see the open parts at first. Hopefully it was an honest mistake of forgetting to put that in the description!

If they were MOC, you should have been able to see their comb/brush/ribbon in the space where they belong and Bow Tie would not have a ribbon on her tail

When I first saw the photos I didn't notice the missing combs/brushes. I can see how a person could miss that completely especially being an excited bidder :/ I don't think this is your fault. The seller definitely should have said something in the description.

If you do choose to return them, you have to contact them about it within 3 days, so keep that in mind when making your choice. I'm sorry this has turned out to be so stressful for you

Honestly, I noticed the missing brushes, ribbons and stickers from the begining and was surprised at how much they sold for. I think its a problem of viewing the auctions with mobile phones. Someone else had this problem last week.
As a seller, I'd fine it annoying to have to refund because of a buyer's mistake, but mistakes to happen and its good customer service.
Question- Were the bubbles glued back on? Or where they loose?
If they were loose, I could see deception on the seller's part.

I saw that auction too, and I was watching it as well. I totally understand - I missed the fact that they weren't MOC as well. And I don't think you were the only person confused. There were a few different bidders who bid quite high as well.
I'm with Mousetrap with the seller stating that most are "in" their package - not "with".
Best of luck!!!!

The auction fooled me :-/ I thought they were moc as well. I have a feeling most of the other bidders that got it up so high thought so as well...
I would return it with a refund. Let us know how he responds to your message.
By the way, I think your message sounds great!

They are loose. Like they opened them just enought to slip the ponies out, then stuck them back in. I don't collect accessories and I wouldn't even care if the horseshoe points were (and they are) cut from the card. But I REALLY wanted MOC Bubbles (with her accessories). I was just gonna sell/trade the rest. Pooh! And the ponies are gorgeous as far as I can tell - I didn't take them out of their bubbles - their hair is SO SHINEY AND NEW!
On another note, the seller messaged me back and said they understand and I can send them back and get a refund.
Guess that'll teach me to bid on high-end acutions from my cell!
