I did chance upon a Sand Digger at a flea market in Singapore and I was wondering to myself, could she be my long lost pony? Well, I lost Sand Digger and Songster when I shifted house..apparently, the movers didn't move over one box of my toys!
Anyway, back to Sand Digger at the flea market....boy was she in a terrible condition! Her dirty matted hair was trimmed so badly and unevenly....she had marker ink all over and there was a gapping hole in her rump! (I wonder what happened!?) Also, she was so dirty that most of her yellow was greyish...The poor pony! I picked her up and pat her and the seller came to me and said, "$15 and you can have her, these horses very hard to find"
WTH?! $15 for such a mangled pony?! Sheesh. You've gotta be kidding?! Anyway, it's almost immpossible to find a nice pony at a flea market in Singapore. Because not many people collect ponies...even mangled ones become so expensive here. I faithfully go to the flea market every Sunday for almost a year and nothing. I've given up on ever finding a nice vintage pony at $0.50 - $1 unline you peeps over in the US! *looks enviously at the Braq Arena*
