Update: Ebay will not remove the feedback.

I think I have lost all confidence in ebay. I mean the guy called me an "IDIOT." I think that is very inaapprorpiate.

I'm sorry you had so much trouble. I would report him for his rude and inappropriate conduct. Plus he basically threatened you about buying a replacement. That pushes on feedback extortion. Definitely report.

Okay, another update: The feeddback does still not meet their criteria for removal, BUT the e-mail is defintely a violation and they are going to investigate it and probably take some sort of action against that member. So 1 out 2 isn;t bad.

So ebay are going to allow the "name calling" to stay!!! What?? Thats ridiculous....they least they could do is have it edited to be informative but polite...

God, the more i hear about ebay, the less i have any confidence in them! Ive only ever been a buyer, and I pay on time, so I dont have any issues. I dont think i will ever be selling there though....

I hope you get some sort of compensation, even if he's only reprimanded by ebay. They're totally wrong not to remove that comment either. Try to make a follow up comment, and block him. He sucks Angry

This is another reason I don't like eBay. They could have at least edited the feedback so "idiot" wasn't in it, that is completely rude and uncalled for, especially in this situation.
