Sorry if I missed a recent thread on this!

I've heard a lot of people saying that they've had problems with PyPal holding their money lately, and now DollyHair is saying that they won't be using it anymore because it's giving them problems. What's going on? I know they hold eBay sale money (which is a load of BS, but that's just eBay)- are they causing problems with other kinds of sales, too?

Before this, the only problems I heard about were them putting accounts on hold for people running raffles.

I just got my account off of "your money is being held for 28 days" crap, even though I haven't sold on Ebay in over a year! They just randomly decided to hold my incoming payments, right around the time I put my comic book out. Just got an email the other day saying my payments were no longer being automatically held. I have no idea what's up with that, but I was LIVID when they started holding my payments.

so far it has been good for me, but i hope this doesnt happen to me.

They held my first few ebay sales but not for 28 days. Just until the item was received... I think.

And I have just recently sold a couple things and nothing was held at all. So for me, I think the holding process is over.

I bought something from work - paid through PayPal - as I have done countless times before. Didn't suit me, got a refund into my PayPal account.

PayPal have put a hold on it.

*sigh* I really dont know what is going on with Paypal lately

Oh no, that's not good. I just purchased something on here and i am paying with paypal. That's the only way I can pay, I hope there's not going to be an issue with my payment.

It's weird, I got a strangely-worded email from them!

I loathe paypal. It is a necessary evil with buying and selling online but I genuinely hate it! Long story short, they always side with the buyer even when the buyer is clearly pulling a fast one and hold their funds even if you have already withdrawn them putting your account into the red so future payments can't be accessed! GAH it drives me mad!

I paid for the item using paypal and they said that it went through just fine. *phew*

Dont worry Princess-Sparkles - many of us have to use it quite often to send and/or receive payments, and thankfully it does work fine most of the time

I am here with you MrsEmbers. They started holding my ebay sales money too. I have perfect feedback and have never had a claim against me so I don't know what is going on.
I have had one buyer who has bought several times from me online not leave any feedback - maybe that has something to do with it???
No idea - but it is getting to the point where I don't want to sell on ebay and it is such horrible timing because I have a bunch of estate stuff to sell off.

Could it have something to do with ebay buying paypal???

PayPal have now released my refund. Good job, because if the hold hadn't been removed by Monday I would've been on the phone to them!

Hearing all this makes me so worried that something is going to happen with my account.

Has anyone had this happen? High priced item sold, money is being held, shipping via UPS with tracking, etc, and it arrived, the buyer left feedback and now paypal wants proof of where I obtained the item. a 30 year old item!! how do you prove to them where you got something from years ago? what do i do???
