I wouldn't do anything until you have your money safely in hand!
And if you offer up the ponies on here for the cost of shipping, tons of people would love them for custom baits!
However, I don't follow why her daughter would be UNhappy to get them back? Im puzzled..

Echoing little.fox on the bait idea. I know Eshkenazi and I have been searching for a bait lot, for our projects ^^

Yes, I too find the 'daughter will be devastated' thing a bit bizarre! And at the end of the day, the mother and daughter both made the decision to get rid of them. She said she would like another little girl to love the ponies, but once you put them up for auction, anyone might buy them and do with them what they like - there are no guarantees. I did tell her I would take them to a charity shop as that is what she wanted, however I do not want to risk the charity shop tossing them away, and would rather they had a second chance at life as custom ponies.
If anyone wants bait, please PM me to discuss. Naturally you will only pay for postage. Will give preference to people in NZ/Australia just because shipping further afield will be expensive, although I will consider anyone who is very keen. Also happy to split into a couple of lots. The breezies without wings/feelers might be fun for someone to customise too. There are some fakies as well. I will take some pics for anyone who is interested, it may not be for a couple of days though as I have several Christmas functions to attend this weekend!
Again, thanks to everyone for your support and kind words, it is so greatly appreciated and has made me feel a lot better about a pretty crappy situation.
EDIT:
Looks like the baity girls may have found themselves a home!

only thing I can think of, is the woman is determined to get rid of the ponies, so for them to return in the mail then be gotten rid of *anyway* would devistate her little girl...she should just let her daughter keep them, if they mean so much to her! >.<

Glad you found a home for them! But the whole story is just odd..... she is selling her daughter's beloved ponies for what? She says it's Christmas and blah blah....is she selling the ponies to buy her daughter Christmas presents? Why not just let her keep the ponies? The whole thing makes no sense. You offered to send them back so why doesn't she take them? Odd odd odd.
