How I LOVE my flat iron If you don't have one I suggest you find one, because those things work wonders!

Here's my Spanish Galaxy (before that is ), I really wanted one and settled for one that had some issues. As you can see, her mane and tail are essentially a frizzy mess, and no matter how much conditioner I used, it didn't seem to do much:


And here she is after a date with the flat iron



But here's where I was a little gutsy...





Yes, my French shy pose Cotton Candy had a turn with the flat iron to try and fix her tail I must have soaked it in conditioner on and off for days but it was still poofy and frizzy

And here she is now~~ She still has that odd mark on her forehead, but her tail is so much better!!




Does anyone else have some before and after shots of a frizzy mess turned gorgeous again? I'd love to see what other people have done

sadly I do not... but I have done this before, my most successful ponies have been flutters, they looked SO much better after a little flat iron love.

The difference is amazing!
I have a little question. Did you use the flat iron directly on the pony hair or did you place something between it? and did you put conditioner in the hair before putting the iron on it?

You did an amazing job!

And you asked for examples of other rescued ponies so here was my most difficult project (her hair was so dry and brittle, I was afraid I might ruin it but I just couldn't enjoy her the way she was):

@Skelletonimp- I don't put anything between the hair and the ceramic plates of the the flat iron, but I do make sure the hair is ALWAYS damp when I run it through the iron and never let the iron sit on the hair for very long at all. Every now and then I'll gently comb out the hair and use a little conditioner too (I bought some cheap stuff at a dollar store).

i'm about halfway through doing this to every pony i have for sale! the ones i had left from my original lot weren't getting any attention the way they were, and i happened to come across another lot that were in a sorry state, so i'm prettying them all up ready to go to new homes hopefully

i've got a cheap set of flat irons here but i never take photo's of before's & after's, maybe i should put that on my news years resolution list

OMG you guys are inspireing me!!! you know how many ponies i could cross off my "upgrade list"??
maybe i will make a trip to Ross to buy me a flat iron!! ^_^
