I've always been a huge fan, since I was little and watched my Dad play Abe's Oddysee, I fell in love with the games. Most recently I fell in love with it all over again when I started playing Abe's Exodus on my PSP.
I'm sad to hear they're not doing much with new games recently, but Alf assures all that there will be one day. Hopefully it'll be The Hand of Odd. There were also movie rumours, but they turned out to be untrue/so secret no one can know.
I got one of the limited edition art books a few years back for Christmas, I think it must have cost around $140. As a hardcore fan, I'll spend a lot on merch and such. I'm the same for other things I'm obsessed with too.
I'd love to hear your opinions on the games!

Oh man, that art book sounds awesome.
I remember in I think it was sixth grade, we had poetry assignments, where we were to bring in a poem, and then draw it. I don't like poetry, I don't get it, I find it very arrhythmic, it bugs me. So I was like 'All right, whatever, how can I make myself get some enjoyment out of this?', so I ganked some of the poems from the Abes Oddysee. The teacher really liked the illustrations I made (ripped straight from the game) to accompany the poems, so that all worked out.
I really enjoy the games, the side scrollers are oodles of fun, as was Munch's Oddysee. I like Stranger's Wrath, it was different, but still fun. Thinking about it makes me wnat to boot up Munch's Oddysee again, I think that was my favourite of the series. Seeing the world of the side scrolling games in 3D was awesome. I got my XBox on launch day, and Munch's Oddysee was one of the titles I got with it on launch, I remember really enjoying it when I first got it.
I'd like to see more from the series, but from what I've read and heard from people in the development community, Lorne Lanning is difficult to work with, if that's true it'd explain the absence of Oddworld games since Strangers Wrath. We'll have to wait and see what happens!

That's terrible! I hope cheating like that didn't carry over into your high school/adult life!

I love Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus. <3 I don't collect merch or anything but I loved the game already as a child. We just had the demos for PS1... But when I grew up I bought the actual games. ^-^ Recently I bought them for my laptop as well. :3 They're my favourite games. :3 I just love the artwork and the music. <3 AND THE STORY!

;] I didn't think you could mean the PS1 game either! I expected to be disappointed. ha.
My family latched onto it (grandma, me and sibs) back when it came out. I still remember getting so angry from death by falling.. ugh. SOOO many times.
Every now and then my brother will burst out his Abe voice. Sister does a pretty good frustrated Abe. ;] Great games and good times.

Oh, the have a new 'Oddbox' coming out on the PSN, in fact I think it's already released! It has Abe's Oddysee and Exodus, Munch's Oddysee, and Stranger's Wrath.

Annukkainen, what is steam (sorry, I should just google it later today) I think I`m gonna check that out, but I cannot play that game when my daughter is awake so my gaming has to be at nights
I wonder I can just buy a game that is compatible with PS2..
