I know how frustrating it can be to come up with that something unique - I've tried it with crafts but it seems everything has already been done, or there's not much interest.

Unfortunately if you have an idea that isn't copyrighted, someone else may steal that idea. I had this happen with an idea of mine (not a business idea) and there is literally nothing you can do about it.

I am not going to try to talk you out of it, but before you get too serious I would really have a think about what puzzle has said, and probably go talk to a business consultant and lawyer about your ideas and ask what you would need to do, and what are your possible legalities.

There are things you may not think of that are super important, or possibly even a large cost you may not have thought of. I am looking at going into a partnership in a few years time, but before I do I want to research as much as I can on the type of business and work out exactly what I need to do, where possible down falls of the business are, rough costs, and god knows what else. I don't want to go in with rose coloured glasses on, and I would strongly suggest you take yours off before putting any money or effort in to this business. Business is tough, and you need to be ready for all sorts of things that could pop up. If you can't deal with some friendly advice now, I would suggest you probably look at something else apart from running your own business.

the point of this thread was to see if this is something people would be interested in. im getting upset because the "running" the business part isn't what im going for here. i'm trying to see what people think of it before i put any more effort into it. all i wanted to know is would you use this? y or y not? simple as that but thats not what im getting. i know you are all trying to be helpful but "i know". i'm frustrated because i asked a couple questions and i'm keep getting answers to questions i didn't ask......*sigh*

In answer to your last question, no, I wouldn't use the service, simply because I find a yearly extermination to be enough with some fly spray for inbetween.

Most bug or pest problems I could sort out myself if it was something like ants getting in to the bin.

Sorry for being up front, and I hope my honesty doesn't hurt you any more. I am just trying to give you the truth. I hope it helps and doesn't upset you any more. In all seriousness though, if you know the things we are telling you and you do wish to get into business, I wouldn't because we seem to be upsetting you too much here when we are just trying to give honest advice and help. If this is stressing you out, times it by 100 for running your own business, ive done it about ten years ago and it is alot of stress.

Just yeah, I would hate to give you false hope, and the way you are replying, im a bit worried that honesty could hurt you, but at the same time, I would hate sugar coating it and letting you take a fall for it. Im one person, others may require this service.

I think Puzzle gave you some great ideas to think about for starting ANY kind of self-employment. You should look up some local networking business clubs in your area - my husband found 4 months of classes on how to start his own business. Now he understands all the taxes and legalities and contracts and paperwork that has to be filed.
