Just finished this sculpture and put it on eBay. I guess I'm still going to stick with it for awhile. A new Fluttershy and Baby Tank made with artist's permission.
NOTE - The dark pink spots on the mane and tail are raindrops. They don't really look dark like that, it is just my lousy camera.

I just had to make one more and go out with a bang. I think Luna looks wonderful if I do say so myself.











I had to paint the body white, unfortunately, because they never come out at perfect as I want. She was VERY difficult to sculpt with all of the tiny flower petals, tiny leaves and tiny dots. Anyway here is MGR Baby Flower Bouquet on her way to eBay.














My newest - G4 Bubbles and probably last. They take a lot of time to make and it seems that they have no value to anyone. I was getting pretty good at it for the last few but the bidding I am seeing on eBay seems to tell me that people would rather just have a customized blind bag. Not quite sure I understand that but to each his or her own. Anyway, it has been fun but I just cant keep spending 10 to 15 hours plus materials and watch them sell for $20!!!!

I just finished these cuties. Comments welcome. Good or bad. This is my tenth sculpture. I just started sculpting and painting 13 days ago and had never done it before so don't be too harsh.






I thought this could be fun to see everyone's favorites and bring some of them to life. Maybe even having people vote on which pony/pose to bring to life. I guess I thought wrong because nobody seems to want to share their favorite pony pictures.

Got impatient waiting for favorite artwork. Started Twilight Sparkle and Spike when they were in the library. Don't know if it is the one she was talking about or not.







I still need some more favorite pony artwork for my next sculpture.

I need your help because I don't want to do my favorites anymore.





I just finished Applejack!!!!

Her hat and saddlebags are removable.

I had to yell at her, threaten her and call her bad names but Applejack is now behaving and standing on her own!!!!

Need some artwork to try that is NOT a rearing pony. I tried an failed. It just isn't right. Doesn't want to stand while baking. So I still need favorite artwork but NO rearing ponies!!

These that I already made are all on eBay right now. I made these sculptures from scratch. I made the mold, shaped it, carved it, detailed it and then painted each one. I put them in my previous thread in sales but I was hoping to get some feedback.

Spike can be taken out of his egg and is complete and stands on his own.
Derpy has a removable binky (pacifier).
R2D2 has a removable helmet.
Fluttershy has a removable rose.
Rainbow Dash Gala is a magnet.

I have never made a sculpture in my life outside of elementary school. I am making them strictly from a picture.

Thanks a lot. I am still trying to get my painting to look better. Advice anyone? Other than practice, practice,practice. The last pic is the first one I made and Fluttershy is the last. I think I still need to thin my paint.

when it comes to paint (as really new myself) the recommendation is lots of thin layers to look more natural so perhaps try that?

OMG! R2D2 Spike!! *grabby hands* soo cute! I think you did a great job, it is so hard to sculpt completely from scratch, but with practice you will get even better.

These are all adorable! I think you did a great job. I agree with the paint comment. Did you seal these? And if so, did you use a glossy sealant? If so, I'd recommend a matte sealant to cut down on shinies.

Again, I think these are great! Rarity 3PO is cracking me up, and the Gala Dashie is just so cute.

Just finished Pinkie Pie and Gummy. My local craft store ran out of the clay I normally use and tried Sculpey original. Way too soft. Pinkie's head ended up sagging a little and I had to make her tail too thick to manage the curls and Gummy. Oh well. Gummy is still cute.

Pinkie looks even better than your earlier works - you can really see your progress! Awesome!

Thanks for the advice and the kudos everyone. I think I will try 1 more tomorrow. I am out of fresh ideas and I could spend days searching through pictures before a certain one might catch my fancy.

So instead, does anyone have a favorite pony picture they would like to see made?

Give me a picture and I will see if I can make it come to life, so to speak. If I get a good one before it is too late in the morning I might be able to finish it by tomorrow evening. I am not offering commission work. I just think it might be fun to try to bring someones favorite to the 3D world.

Doesn't anyone have a favorite picture? I'm not sure if I was clear. This is not a commission and I am not asking for your favorite so I can make it to sell to you. I just think this might be a fun way to get my next design.
