Saw it earlier, looks very good, can't wait for it to come out! I also saw the trailer for The Dark Knight Rises which looks ace too! Loads of yummy film goodness for next year!

I'm excited about this movie, but I'm mainly excited for SMAUG!!! The cartoon left me disappointed with him, because it looked like they took all their time drawing his body (which looks AMAZING) and then went "Crap we don't have any time left to draw his head!" so they threw a random cat head on there. That confused me so much as a kid. Here's looking forward to a really great looking Smaug!

Oh man yes! I really hope they do a good job with him, they've done a good job with every other CG item so far but dragons seems to be so hit or miss. A lot of the time I think they look goofy.

I did a little happy dance when I saw this last night. I can't wait to show my housemate later. He's a huge (albeit closeted, lol) Tolkien fan and he is going to absolutely flip.

Ehh.. Looks less than stellar to me. I'm not a fan of these though.

Oh, I did a full on nerd-out session when I watched this yesterday. I am sooo excited! I squealed and teared up also! Love the singing... loved seeing some familiar characters. Oooooh man... it will be December 2012 before we know it!

The guy that's playing Thorin is way too sexy He's a jerk and shouldn't look so good.

I love the whole LOTR thing!

Wonder how many times I'll get to the cinema to see this film. When LOTR came out it was about 7 times for each film.
Can't wait for all the Hobbit Merchandise Goodness! My Samwise Gamgee action figure needs more Hobbit friends to cook for with his little saucepans...

After rewatching this a million times.. Doesn't the dwarfs look a bit too good looking? I remember being somewhat dissapointed with LotR when the hobbits were so cute and Aragorn such a hottie when he's not in the book.
I know there's been a lot of speculation on the dwarfs on several fantasyforums I frequent because they're the main deal in the book and we all know something has to be done to get more people than the hardcore fans to watch the films. But I had hoped they would all look a bit like Gimli. But no.. the majority looks like him. But then Fili and Kili is rather handsome guys even! Not to mention Thorin! What on earth! He's droolworthy!

And you can't claim the good look on young ages.. Thorin was 195 while Gimli only was 139 when he went on the mission, and thats only 62 years older than Kili who is youngest.

Anyway.. I'm more than curious on the appearance of Beorn. He's played by one of Swedens "best actors", lol. I hate that guy personally so I can't wait to see what he's done to the chieftan! ^^

I know right? The first dragon I can really remember seeing in CG was Draco from Dragonheart, and I was blown away. I expected that level of quality in all the dragons I would see, but I have been quite disappointed as a whole. Most of the time, they aren't even dragons, but wyverns! *dragon's head, reptile's body but only two legs*

Well, I remember Peter Jackson saying he wanted to have to have a "heart throb" dwarf so the dwarves could get some lovin' too lol.

He's played by Richard Armitage. He played Guy of Gisbourne in BBC's Robin Hood, and he is the ONLY reason I watched the show! I'm like "Isn't this messed up? I'm supposed to be rooting for Robin Hood aren't I?"

Oh jeez, my excitement is building! This is going to be a very awesome year, I will just get more and more excited as they release more teaser trailers!
