|
I've been carefully starting to wash and restore some of my childhood ponies and the first candidate is a mystery lady. Her hoof tells me she's from Italy, so I figured I would have the best luck trying to learn her identity in this part of the arena. I inherited this girl from my sister, but by the time I received her, my sister had long since removed her cutie mark and replaced it with something else several times over, hence I'm not quite sure who she may be.
She's a pretty girl with a peach body, pink hair, blue eyes, and concave hooves. She does have the left overs of a cutie mark on her back, but if I recall correctly, that was one of the home-made ones my sister added with marker.

Judging from her colors and pose I thought she might very well be a Peachy, but I cannot recall if my sister ever had the pretty parlor she supposedly came with, nor do I know if there may be any Italy girls I'm not aware off. Can any of you tell me if my guess is correct? I'd love to give this girl her name back. (and perhaps one day her original cutie mark, if I can gather up the courage to try... )

She could also be a Cotton Candy - they often fade to that sort of colour.

That was my other guess at her identity I admit. It's just that Cotton Candy's eyes usually seemed to be more purple then blue? Please correct me if I'm wrong though, I'm still trying to get familiar with all the many pony designs out there, and I haven't much of a clue yet what age and such does to paint, hair or body colors.
I'm currently mostly left staring at her and going "Tell me your name! O.O".
Doesn't help much that....
[Edit] Ah I'm sorry, I should have scoured the forums a bit more.
It seems Italian ponies always have blue eyes? I suppose I'll just have to ask my sister if she ever owned a Pretty Parlor next time I see her. ^^

At first, I thought she looked like a faded Cotton Candy too, but now I think I see the remnants of pink hearts for her symbol. So now I'm kinda thinking she's Peachy.

Well I'm not completely sure, but I think that is actually a remnant of a cutie mark my sister added with marker. especially since those same marks are also on her other flank but placed much lower. I'm not completely sure though, I'll have to ask my sister next time I see her, along with whether or not she ever owned that Pretty Parlor. I expect I'll be getting some odd looks. >>
And wow yum-yum, those are lovely photos! I don't quite dare to do a comparison now, since it's dark out and I'd like to do it by daylight, but I'll make sure to compare them to my girl tomorrow.
Thank you very much!

I'm quite sure that she is an Italian cotton candy, peachy never is that light and cotton candy tends to fade to this color.

Now I've had the chance to compare I think so too. She seems a tad more peach colored then any of the ponies in the images, but she looks the most like cotton candy.
I'll see my sister tomorrow, so I can see if she remembers anything about the pony, but I'm keeping it at Cotton Candy for now. Thank you everyone for all the help. ^^

i really have no idea i would perhaps think a very faded contton candy though.
have you taken her head off and looked inside? sometimes the orginal colour can still be seen inside the pony's body.

She's basically the same color on he inside, her head does seems a tad darker at points, but seeing as the rest of her body and head has faded so much I doubt the darker spots are much closer to her original color.
I also asked my sister if she ever had a Pretty Parlor and she doesn't remember anything like that at all. So I suspect she is indeed a Cotton Candy. ^^
I must admit though, I'm somewhat tempted to make up a new Cutie mark/symbol for her and call her Peach Candy.

I'm now for sure it's a CC.
Here's a CC I have for sale and she's almost identical to yours

peach candy that is so cute!
hm i was hoping she hadn't faded inside! it is totally possible for a pony to fade inside though the pink italian ponies are so prone to fading, the dye was not very stable at all. there have been italian firefly's turn up almost white.
yum-yum ~ thank you for sharing that picture, the colours look very similar.
love pkw xxx
