Firstly, I want to congratulate you on finding the courage to come out. I can't imagine how stressful that must have been and I'm happy that you are able to be yourself freely and confidently
As for persona changes, you are always welcome to change yours. Dusky is beautiful, but if she doesn't represent you anymore, then maybe she needs a makeover. I haven't changed my persona, since she represents everything about myself that I like and how I try to present myself to the world. She suits me as much now as she would have when I was a kid, but I have always been more or less the same person as I am now (deep inside, at least... even when I had a hard time projecting the colors).
But I just gave my little sister's persona a pretty big facelift. When I first joined the Arena, I created Vessa and my sister wanted a pony of her own, so I designed Lyric:
At the time, she was 15 and very into rainbows and pink and all things bright and girly. She loved to sing (hence the name and the mark on her cheek) and she was learning point, so I gave her ballet slippers.
Now, she has just finished her first semester of college and is a
VERY different person than she used to be. She has mellowed out (a little) and is no longer dancing. She began working at a cake shop shortly after I had designed the original Lyric and evolved from sales, to cupcake decorating, to cakes. And she's a Music Education/Early Ed major so music needed to be a bigger part of her overall design. With my sister's help, I have updated Lyric quite a bit:
(Ignore the rough coloring job and randomly uncolored polkadots, we were deciding on colors and I haven't finished the final draft yet)
So if you want to update your persona, then you are absolutely free to do so
