My 2011 started on a VERY low note when I made a massive mistake... luckily everything has turned out for the best and five months ago I got with my perfect boyfriend.... 2012 is going to start off a lot different from 2011 XD

1. Returned from my adventure in England. I decided being hungry all the time, and cold, and living with 2 snobs probably wasn't going to help me progress in life. Being a telemarketer didn't help morales, either.

2. Had myself checked for mental illnesses, and found out I have a mild case of bipolar disorder. This is a good discovery, at least I know now that my depressions go away as mysteriously as they came. So I won't do anything stupid.

3. Got the easiest job in the world. It's not my dream job but it'll allow me to save up money.

4. Got an appartment, well, renting it. Living on my own again, yeah!

5. Decided to become vegetarian.

6. Got back into My Little Pony!!

7. Started studying Japanese again, on my own, using my friends and the internet to help me ^^

I finally bought my ponyshelfs so I could take out my ponies from storage. I spent two weeks cleaning and styling almost 200 ponies and then arrange them in the shelf this summer. I feel so proud!

(Warning! This will mostly be about walking, 'cause that's what I did all year. )

* I joined SparkPeople (free site), and it resulted in most of the following:

* I've lost 62 pounds, and 2-3 pants sizes. Maybe even 4? I didn't pay attention to that part as much. Enough to know my wedding ring doesn't fit anymore and slides off easily.

* I've walked at least 795 real miles.

* I've walked 1835.35 "virtual" miles. By that I mean my total distance walking - whether around town, up and down the stairs of my house, or stepping in place in front of the television. My feet were in motion whether or not I was covering real distance.

* This goes along with the above two, but the distance I covered is equivalent to my walking from Lethbridge to Yuma, AZ, and then on to Tucson. I've been in a "virtual walk" nearly the whole year to keep up my motivation to walk daily.

(It's also the closest thing I can get to visiting my home, since I cannot afford to get there for real).



* When I walked my first 10K, I earned myself this little reward.



* I got a few pony acquisitions through Value Village and Kijiji. Some are kind of baity, but if I can get my hands on a flat iron I could fix them up quite a bit.

So, this dismal 2011 has had a few highlights anyway.

I got my HNC at college and got into Uni:)

I did an internship and subsequently got hired! My first -real- job (real as in, what I studied for )!

Yea that was a ton of books, thankfully I can read books on the computer at work, thats the only way I was able to read so many. But I probably won't get that high again any time soon.

Sourdoughstomper, what an amazing accomplishment! Congrats!

Let's see.. I..

1. Got engaged! my ring. (Sorry, I adore it! It's a 50's art deco ring)

2. Found a job I love and adore that makes me more than minimum wage. Which made me really happy because when I didn't get hired and was working in retail with loans for a bachelor's and master's degree..so much stress.

3. Helped my SO start a succesful business!

4. Got back into pony collecting (once I got money)

5. Went to New York for another book convention and met some nice authors and bloggers.

6. Started writing my book again! Went to SCBWI meetings and got feedback. Started believing in my writing.

7. Got my first house! Rental, yes. But I've never lived on my own before! I love my house.

8. Despite being hit with many medical bills, I stayed on top by making multiple payment arrangements and I've yet to default on one.

Nothing much. :/ I guess these count:

-Celebrated my 3 year anniversary with my amazing boyfriend (we're at around 3 1/2 years as of now and going strong!)

-Started buying/selling/trading online (lots of fun but I've bought way too many ponies!! >.<)

-Started reading novels and short stories for fun (something I've never really done)

hmmm...

-Turned 21 but I still don't drink more than a few sips whenever I'm with friends and they are drinking....which isn't too often. lol

Major congrats and kudos to all of you who have made real accomplishments this year! Lots of awesome things in this thread. =)

*Changed a diaper for the first time ever

*Got first full-time job in three years

*Drove 10+ hours solo (never done that before)

*First MLP fair!

*Traveled into the central time zone

*Traveled west of the Mississippi

*Started actively saving again

*Got dumped by my boyfriend of the past 4 years, but have very recently found someone new...

*Learned to ice skate

*...and roller skate!
