In our country is much more important holiday than Christmas !

What a cute card

We celebrate it here, I don't normally do too much, as I don't like going in to the city to battle the crouds. Normally go to a friends place or stay at home, have a few drinks, watch the fireworks on the telly. Nothing too amazing, but it is fun

Well as a country we do, but me personally. Not really, I tend to just sleep in the new year

As a country, definitely. I try to avoid it though, too noisy for my liking and I don't think it's as much fun if your not drinking.

My maternal grandma's birthday is on New Year's Day, so we pretty much just celebrate her birthday.

We don't do a huge thing - usually just get together with some family and watch the ball drop, then go to bed. This year we're just staying in together and doing the same thing - just small and simple.

yeah, though I wish we didnt, its my least favourite holiday of the year. My family makes such a big deal out of it.

This year ill probably be stuck with them again this year, unable to get some rest until 1 or 1:30 in the morning :/ I like watching the ball drop but the holiday just isnt for me

In my country, yes. But I generally hate it. It's the night when I as a kid was not alowed to go to sleep but had to stay up and watch dads drunken brutality against mom. As a teenager and alowed to hang with my friends all night, it was just a huge drinking contest amongst them, who got drunk fastest and not very fun at all. I usually prefer to be home alone and sleep it through.

This year however will be a bit different. My boyfriend worked during the christmasholliday so we're gonna have our own little christmas during the day and then later get some fruit and cheese and crackers and cider and watch a movie or three. We're living by a river just across an island where some rich dudes live and they have the most fantastic fireworks and we have front row seats from our balcony. I'm really looking forward new years for the first time ever

We do! We just stay home and watch the ball drop though.

I bet you $25 my husband will decide he wants to go to a club or go out on NYE at the last minute, though.

If, by celebrating, you mean getting absolutely trollied and sleeping all of new years day... Then yes absolutely!

Hmm, i personally don't do anything special.
Just watching some good tv, mostly cabaret, but this year it seems like there isn't anything good on..
I also watch NYE lottery in the hope to win like a few million dollars i always buy a lottery ticket for dec 31st!

And no going outside, i'm scared of fireworks. I'm standing safe behind the window

I just go to sleep like any other night really, nobody in my family celebrates it except for my father, but he has a party where everyone drinks, and I'm scared of drunk people D:
