I am a bit gobsmacked ... what the heck?!

I just got a neutral feedback on this auction:

"The cutie mark isnt on the right side of the doll. Other then that its fine."

Wait, what..?? The pony sent is EXACTLY how it's shown in the picture. How do I know for sure? I made TWO of this pony, one to keep for myself!! And the lyre was on the same side of both of them.

I e-mailed the buyer, but I'm a bit upset. I'm going to block this person, I think ... they only have 10 feedbacks and I've been with eBay for 11 years, so I think if I complain to eBay cust. service about the situation (if the person doesn't change the neutral), they'll probably side with me.

Opinions anyone? I HATE having my perfect record damaged by a n00b and for no good reason!!!

That's...so dumb. I'm sorry that happened, Kala. I hope ebay does something for you but judging by what I've seen recently, I'm afraid they might not. And who says it's not on the right side? lol...Ponies have them on BOTH sides in the cartoon, so either side is fine... At least you can reply to the feedback, right?

Sorry, but that's messed up, I'll make sure I add this idiot to my blocked list.



EDIT: Maybe they meant it wasn't on the right side as in direction? That she didn't have it on both sides (left side is pictured) Still, that's a ridiculous reason for a neutral...

Make sure you respond to the feedback and say something like "The pony is exactly as pictured in the auction" or explain yourself some other way. What the hell, seriously. Idiots.

OH. OKAY. Because I can't read your mind, I get a neutral feedback, huh? If you had just ASKED me before buying, I would have painted the other symbol in a heartbeat. For heaven's sake.

*edit for update* Ooookay. Update. I offered to paint the symbol on the other side if he sends her back AND leaves positive feedback, so he's taking me up on that and he apologized, saying he doesn't use eBay very often and wasn't familiar w/ how to use feedback.
(which... I dunno... come on. you had to jump right to leaving a neutral without even contacting the seller?? come on. really. even if you don't use eBay very often, that seems like a no-brainer ...)

This is why I have COMPLETELY boycotted ebay. I am so sick of crazy buyers! Ever since ebay gave buyers more power it's gone down hill.

Glad to hear that you are working it out. And yeah, eBay has gotten so risky with it's forcing sellers to bend over backwards for buyers and the way the feedback system works now. Whenever I sell on eBay I include several pictures for this reason alone to make sure I'm covered against goobers like this one.

Has this person never owned a pony before? It's been decades since Hasbro put symbols on both sides, ponies don't come that way! I don't know why they would expect that.

Sorry you had to deal with this buyer who clearly doesn't know much about what they are buying...
